Second visit to this hotel and just as perfect as the last. The welcome is as good as it gets, staff are very warm and attentive and have answers to all your questions
Rooms are getting slight dated now but clean and very well kept.
Highly recommended especially for a long stay

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Kitano Arms in October 2013. The hotel is only a minute walk to the Tokyo Metro and so access to Greater Tokyo by train is very convenient. The hotel is spotlessly clean, and the staff speak good English and are very helpful. Our room was reasonably large by Japanese standard, but definitely a little tight by Australian standard! Overall, this hotel represents good value and we would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here in April 2013 (April is always the best time to see Japan..Sakura!!!!!) and found this hotel to be a great base for our stay.
The rooms are larger than usual for Tokyo and the kitchenette and lounge area make your stay much more comfortable.
The location is good as Nagatacho station is accessed just outside and there is a Lawsons and 7-11 grocery store nearby for snacks etc. There are also a few good coffee shops close by.
The hotel staff were always friendly and helpful and there was free use of a computer in the lobby. There was no Wifi (which seems common still in several Japanese hotels that we've stayed in) so the hotel needs to update in this respect.

The main point of interest nearby is the Imperial Palace which is well worth a visit and is a pleasant 20 minute walk away.

But with anywhere in Tokyo it is the proximity to a Metro or train station that you will need of you're getting about the city - having Nagatacho station next to the hotel is a great plus and a good reason to stay there.

This time around, we needed space more than anything, so we chosed this hotel apartment. Sure, looks old and spent, but no other place in tokyo gives you a huge 70 meters for the same price of a typical miniture tokyo hotel room!
Located at Nagatacho station exit 4, a taxi ride from tokyo stations or TCAT is recommended for arrivals with oversixed checked-in luggage (2000 yen fare). After that, the Hanzomon and Yurakucho line is at your doorstep!
My favourite coffee place? The capital cafe at the lobby. Excellent coffee, milk tea and ashtray!
For late nightsnacks, the trinity of lawsons, 7-11 and McD is just 50 meters away....

Room Tip: Choose any room, cant go wrong ( we booked 3 rooms the last stay )

Overall this was a good choice for hotel in Tokyo. It is more like a small apartment and feels good to "come home" to after a long day of sightseeing. Really nice was its proximity to the metro station. The room was a bit on the older side, various amenities were a bit broken down, and appliances were you on the older side.

However, those were only minor distractions from the whole experience. My biggest issue was that the bed was hard as a rock. I believe that I slept on a wooden board with some springs below it. I have noticed that, in general, the beds in Japan are on the harder side, but this was way to the extreme. My back hurts. But even with this I would recommend the place.

We stayed in Kitano Arms for 5 days in May 2013. Excellent value in Tokyo, the room was big enough, with kitchen, a dining table and a business desk, plus wi-fi. The place is 30 meters away a subway station where 4 different lines have a stop, and at a very short-distance of a Seven 11 and a Lawson Store, where you can buy whatever food you need during your stay. Neighbourhood was OK, with not many people on the streets after working hours.
Service was excellent (they rapidly answered for a few requirements we had) and the place was clean. Value for money, this a place to recommend in Tokyo!

We stay in this hotel at the begining of April with our toddler daughter. Having a small kitchen was a big plus. Also the room was quite generous in space compared with the Japan standard so our toddler had a place to run and burn some energy.
Room is Slightly old but japanese clean and maintained.
