Very good hotel and location

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 19 Jun 2019via mobile
Good hotel to stay at with good location.
Family mart and Lawson just outside for convenience.
Rooms are clean and fresh. Breakfast buffet had good variation, fresh as well.
Hotel bar closes at 23:00 :( but this seem to be the normal time in this neighbourhood.
Will stay here again once I’m back in Tokyo

The hotel is in agreat location, very close to Iidabashi train station and a good choice of restaurants in the area. The staff in the hotel were very friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English.

The room was comfortable, a reasonable size and the air-con was efficient and quiet.

This hotel has several problems.

The staff does not speak English. Some of the staff members just speak a few words. it's impossible to communicate with them.
The reception desk staff is unfriendly and rude. if you ask a question, they just ignore. mainly because they do not understand English.

I booked a non-smoking room and was almost forced to stay in a smoker's room. I had to insist for hal an hour before they changed.

The rooms are outdated and not cozy. I arrived in the middle of the night and then you find... an empty minibar.

The rooms are quite noisy. Entering the room starts with a game: find the WIFI code. After 45 minutes, I found it, hidden in some paperwork that was hidden somewhere in the desk. Quite strange though: 5 leaflets in teh room to announce the fact that they have 'in room massage', but WIFI code is nowhere to find. Find te logic.

The bathroom was okay, but the mirror was at the height of my ******* i could just see my bellybutton and the constrution was weird. Everthing was at Korean height, if you are 1m90 tall, it's not comfortable

The bed was okay.

After you have had a rest, you wake up and want to go for a beakfast. You wish. the restaurant is so small that you have to queue to enter the restaurant: waiting time between 30 en 45 (!!!!!) minutes. The second day I had to queue for 45 minute before i could enjoy the....empty breakfast. Staff asked coffee or tea and i asked hot chocolate. in stead of saying that they don't have it, theu do not answer and move away. How rude can you be. again, staff does not understand english.

It's really clear; they do whatever they can to make you feel as uncomfortabel as possible. Fawlty towers seems better organised to please customers. The biggest problem is that they are even not aware of the fact that they are causing only inconveniences.

I left very early in the morning, so I returned my breakfast ticket and guess what: it was not refunded! Well done... #not

So conluding: there are other hotels around. Go there. This hotel is not caring about guests at all. the only thing that counts is procedures and money.
If you want stress, losing time and feel bad: book here.

Room tip: the best room is a room i a nearby hotel

I stayed in this hotel twice during a recent trip to Japan and had an excellent experience both times. The staff are extremely accommodating and helpful. The rooms are really comfortable and not as small as I thought they would be - not a lot of floorspace but suitcases could be tucked away under the table or in a corner. It took us a while to figure out how to turn the lights off without removing the key card from the slot - this is done with the buttons on the unit by the table next to the bed. The bed was comfortable and a good size for a double. The bathroom was really nice with a bathtub and lovely complimentary toiletries including a hairbrush and hairband. The hotel was really quiet despite being close to a large road, train tracks and the Tokyo Dome. We didn't have breakfast included as we preferred to pick something up from the bakery or the shop inside the hotel or nearby streets. The hotel is conveniently located two minutes from Iidabashi station on the Tozai line, exit A5. Four other lines can be accessed a bit further down the street. There is a Family mart just opposite the hotel, and on the main road one street down there is a lovely bakery on the corner and a 7-Eleven where you can pick up lunch or snacks.

We were recommended by a Tokyo friend to book online with a bit uncertainty prior to our arrival for a 4-day spring break vacation to visit old friends as well as cherry blossoms. Despite there is no direct train or bus serving between the hotel and airports, yet it is conveniently located nearby several subway lines to commute in the city. While most of rooms are tipically small, yet enough to accommodate a couple with offers of needed amenities; while hotel rooms are well maintained, rooms located at the east-wing building may be newer. The breakfast buffet is popular with varieties of Japanese and western dishes to choose from, and all the staff members are helpful and professional.

Room tip: East-wing building is newer

We started Japanese experience in this hotel. We had been told rooms were small in Japan. This room was roomy enough, with good facilities, clean and well serviced. Close to the cherry blossoms, lots of restaurants nearby, handy to the train, and pickup for Disneyland. Staff were friendly, and the breakfast was varied, with 2 restaurants.
