Great location right downtown! Walking distance to many areas and the train right at your feet. Stayed here just one night on a business trip but had a great experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We caught the Nozomi (bullet train) to Kyoto and you can just walk right out of the hotel in to the station. Very convenient! I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed for few nights in mid Dec 2012, whilst they had a superb offer so value for the buck was great for the superb service and facility this newly restored Tokyo Station Hotel have to offer.
Amazing layout and they have done a fantastic job in restoring the place to a top notch scale but keeping the pre-existing features throughout the building. Really enjoyed the stay and would definitely like to come back again.

We stayed at the Tokyo station hotel for a occasion of our anniversary.
我們決定入住東京車站飯店是為了慶祝週年紀念日

As we asked the hotel to help us to reserve two ticket of the NHK symphony orchestra, because the overseas online booking of their performances is not allowed, we explained this request is for our anniv day.

The hotel did not only booked the seats for us, but also arranged souvenir photo taking in our room, and there was a welcoming and wishes card on the room table congratulating us. We felt very warm with their arrangements and kind help.

The room we stayed was in the dome, with a perfect view of the Tokyo Station entrance, and so close to the dome top so that we can appreciate the decoration closely. The room was small but very comfortable, with well chosen furniture and tableware, and a very nice bath room.

The reconstruction project kept the decoration of the building and the room meets the Taisho style when the hotel first established. This created an atmosphere of european nostalgia.

The buffet breakfast in the Atrium level was another highlight of this stay. The sunlight came from the glass window. With a 9 meter high ceiling, the restaurant provided a spacious comfortable environment for their guests. Food was great.

Just 1 lowlight that we found a small litter under the room desk. But this dose not diminish what wonderful experience Tokyo Station Hotel had brought us!

Special thanks to the Chief Guest Relations, Ms. Mori and her team members. Her professional help and arrangements has made this stay an incredible memory.

Just returned from Tokyo and a great stay at the newly refurbished Tokyo Station Hotel. After six years of renovation, the hotel that sits atop Tokyo's busiest train station has reopened and sets new standards for elegance and comfort. The staff is wildly accommodating, the public spaces of the hotel are beautiful and comfortable, and the rooms are absolutely ideal. My room, in the cupola of the station's dome, felt like a magical little hideway ensconced high atop the station. The room had sweeping ceilings graced with a crystal chandelier, beautifully appointed furnishings, an incredibly comfortable bed and a great bathroom (check out the ceiling mounted falling water shower head). The breakfast atrium is particularly lovely and comfortable. Every minute spend inside the hotel feels cosseted and graceful ... a stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of the train station just outside the doors. Check out the beautiful and discreet bars, Camellia and Oak Bar, for a chic midnight drink. A very special place!

Room Tip: The cupola rooms provide a unique experience and magical vantage point.

The hotel is ideally located right outside Tokyo Station, which means there is no need to change trains after taking the train from Narita airport into Central Tokyo. This makes things very handy, not just for international comings and going, but also for domestic train journeys as Tokyo station is a main hub. As for the hotel, rooms are brand new and, while not huge, the height of the ceilings make the room feel very spacious. For us, one particularly memorable plus was the concierge desk. As well as being completely fluent in English (not a given), one gentleman on the desk was kind enough upon seeing me walk into the hotel to hand me a print out of a map showing me the directions of how to get to a restaurant I had asked him to book earlier that morning. I've never had this kind of thoughtful service, even at some of the most famous hotels who are supposedly known for their service. That aside, the hotel is also convenient if on business as it's in the business district and also next to Ginza if you want some high end shopping. If you want hip and happening (like my last visit), try Shinjuku. If you want something more refined, try here.

Impreccably clean. Recently renovated. Excellent staff service. You need a train pass to conveniently walk to the main underground mall which is connected to it. If you dont have a train pass, you can purchase one. Not expensive, but a weird arrangement. The hotel rooms are not large, but they had to fit in the existing historical building, so can't really complain. Beds and linen excellent. The huge rain shower in the bathroom is reason enough to stay there. Location is within Tokyo Station. Surroundings mostly office buildings so not much touristy things to do there, but go underground and there are countless shops and restaurants. Ginza is 10 minutes walk away, Imperial Palace 8 minutes walk.
