“Palace gardens”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 October 2013

Arriving mid March we thought we would be too early for Cherry blossoms, but Tokyo turned it on for us The gardens themselves are beautiful, but add the blossoms to the trees and these gardens come to life. We were very lucky

“Frustrating !”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 October 2013

Because you don't even get a glimpse of the Palace ! That said, the gardens are beautifully serene and definitely worth strolling around in the afternoon sun. Quiet, peaceful and far from the madding crowd !

“A Pleasant Garden”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 October 2013

Greenery all around; with hundred year olds pine trees shaped with skills of growing bonsai. A peaceful garden with a pond of lots of large koi. Here one gets to see huge walls made of stones from centuries back.

“Nice, if you can get into the Palace.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 October 2013

If they are receiving foreign dignitaries, you're out of luck: you won't be able to get inside the palace and they will not tell you until you've got there.

“Stunning....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 October 2013

Definitely worth a visit. When we visited, arrangements in advance for this part of the garden were not necessary. However, I suggest checking with the Tourist Office.
