The hotel is outstanding in many ways. It has a tradition in hosting, as it belongs to a hotel chain based in Hong Kong since 1866, so the furniture is a perfect match for a traveler that wants to feel home, well, not a common home, but in a very special home, extremely elegant in all aspects, good taste and also fabulous material for garments in all sectors. Tradition for a hotel, in this case, does not mean necessarily be truly antique, instead, it means to offer a good sense of comfort, it embraces you with warm but soft colours, every single detail has these two concepts entangled: great design / comfort. I stayed with friends, in an apartment with a view to the Imperial Palace, a few steps from the Metro, 3 minutes walk from Ginza and 5 min drive from the huge, central, Tokyo Station, where you can get trains to and fro all airports and main Shinkansen bullet train lines. It is not cheap, as you can imagine, but when you decide for a luxurious place, that's average. I found it enchanting and would recommend. The staff is also friendly, definitely hospitable and everything works out perfectly, with all necessary modern technology and life style, from Illy expresso coffee machine, to huge bath tube, to perfect blind curtains to spacious, wide, windows with a fantastic view.More
