While visiting family in Japan we booked into the Washington for 3 nights and ended up staying another two! Great location in the heart of the Electronic capital of the world, short walk to Akihabara station, very comfortable, clean hotel with great views of the streets and skyline(from the 8th floor) check in was very easy, staff helpful and friendly. Rooms are quite small by european and american standards but had everything you need, including tea/coffee making , room shoes(slippers) and robe(traditional Japanese style) and amazingly good price. We got non smoking room (as I really couldn't stay in a smoking room) so was pleased. The key idea was brilliant in that you could go to the 3rd floor(reception) but had to scan your room card for other floors and you could only go to that floor, best idea I have ever encountered as only guests with key cards for a certain floor could be on that floor. Overall this is a great budget hotel right in the center of Akihabara, would definitely recommend it for a base to explore Tokyo
