An upscale business hotel. Room size about average for Tokyo but a very pleasant place for a night or two. Very close to the Ginza and within walking distance of Tsukiji and the shops/restaurants at Ginza. For those arriving/departing on the NRT Express, the Shinbashi JR station is convenient.

Close to Ginza and Shimbashi so lots of restaurants to choose from and easy train access.
Room a bit small and the bed too hard. No restaurant for mornings. Staff have limited English but they are friendly and try to help as much as possible.
Location is about it's only merit.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the street side. the other side looks out on a bunch of roofs with noisy exhaust f...

This is definately not your hotel if your are looking for some 5 star luxoury as depicted in the movie "Lost in Translation." but if all you need is 3 hots and 1 cot, a good home base to explore the city on your own, this hotel may be a good choice.

A few minutes walk to the Shimbashi Metro station, and you have the whole maze of Tokyo public transport system at your feet. A word of caution, it might take sometime for new comers to familiarize themselves with the different exits of the stations because transfer to different trains and different lines might be a bit confusing, maybe even for locals sometimes.

On the positive side, rooms are cleaned daily( not all hotels of the same rank can keep up this quality of service in other cities and other countries). The chambermaid even bows to guests in the morning the first time when they meet. Japanese green and brown tea bags are offered with a hot water maker in the room. A/C works fine. Rooms are well-insulated against noises from the streets outside. However, it is easy to hear noises from the corridor if you happen to have noisy neighbors. The staff is polite and helpful. Wifi is not available in the room. But you can get a wifi connector, free of charge, from the front desk, which, of course, you have to return upon checking out. With several resturants and shops outside the hotel, it is difficult not find something to eat. Tokyo on the whole is a crowded, busy, dynamic, interesting, and complicated city, and expensive at some places. Ginza International Hotel is a good place to stay at a reasonable price.

On the negative side, rooms are not so big by western standard. Remember, Tokyo is a crowded city with nealy 20 million people. Large-room hotels are available, but at a higher price. So again back to the question: What you are looking for in Tokyo?

We chose this hotel based on price and accessibility. The airport limo bus drops off 5 mins walk away (at the Mitsui Garden Hotel)which meant we didn't need to struggle around the subways with luggage when we first arrived. It is an easy walk to the fish market and 5 mins to Shimbashi station which gives easy access to all of Tokyo, It is also only a couple of blocks to the centre of Ginza. to check out the night lights. A handy well stocked supermarket (2 levels) is one block away (back towards the Mitsui Garden Hotel) so we were able to pick up food for breakfasts (no restaurant at the hotel) snacks, drink (including alcohol) etc.
Although our room's decor was a little tired, at least it was a good size (double), with plenty of room for suitcases, a large sideboard with a computer desk, fridge and TV and another table with 3 chairs. The bed was hard (as are most) and pillows scrunchy. The bathroom had a nice deep tub which was perfect for soaking weary legs after a full day of sightseeing.
I would reccommend this hotel to people who simply want somewhere to sleep and don't need all the fancy trimmings that come with many higher priced hotels.

We stayed at this hotel after arriving in Japan. After a delayed flight, we were unlucky to have our luggage lost by our airline for every member of our party! The front desk were so helpful and they spent a long time phoning Narita airport, the baggage handlers, the courier company for us. They really went out of their way to help us to get our bags back.

The hotel itself has a good location near the station so you can get around Tokyo easily. The immediate area has all the big department stores and shops (very useful for us as we had no luggage!) The rooms were of a good size for a Tokyo hotel room, where rooms are typically quite small by Western standards. It was clean and had everything we needed. We didn't have any of the problems with noise that the other reviewers had, but we were on a high floor so perhaps this helps?

I stayed 4 nights in this hotel which is close to Shimbashi station and the Ginza area. The room was very small, around 3x4 m in total inc bathroom.
The entrance to the hotel is an elevator with the reception on the second floor and the rooms on the other floors. Becasue of this I didnt really had the opportunity to feel what level of service there was, except when checking in and out. The hotel does not have its own breakfast, but there are many cafes nearby.
The surrounding is also very noisy late in the night so cant open the window if you want to sleep.

The rate was ranging from 8900-13300 yen during my stay.

Worst for me was that I got a smoking room as they were fully booked (and I'm not a smoker).

I dont recommend this hotel.
Just a few hundred meters away from Ginza there are better hotels with similar rates. Slightly more expensive was Villa Fontaine at the Shiodome side but it much more value for money.

Two major issues:
Outside noise. Every night, all night long, people yelling and screaming in the street. Even with the window closed you can hear it, loud and clear.
The room was extremely hot - but the air conditioner system is turned off for the season. So, with all the noise outside you close the window and bake. No fan system to re-circulate the air.
Sure, it's a few bucks cheaper than other hotels in the area - but there's a reason for that. Probably OK if you need to save money, don’t need to sleep, and enjoy hot stuffy rooms.
