“The worst hotel service in Tokyo”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

I stayed here for 1 night and I cannot wait to leave...staffs are very rude and annoying,I will recommend anyone not to stay in this hotel unless you want your holiday to be ruined. They provide the WORST service in Japan.

The greatest selling point of this hotel is its location, which is the BEST - 5 minute walk to Tokyo Station, the transportation hub of Tokyo and entrance to 3 other subway lines just right outside the door. (By the way, Tokyo station is much more than a train station - it is HUGE with so many restaurants and shops in there. It's more like a mini-town.) It is so easy to go anyway in Tokyo. The location makes this a very popular hotel, particularly with local business travellers. The front desk staff told me that this hotel is always nearly fully booked, because most other hotels around this area are 5-star hotels and are of course a lot more expensive.

Having said that, I believe the hotel staff also know that it is the location of the hotel that draws in their guests, and their services is BAD!!! The front desk staff is cold and unfriendly, unlike most Japanese establishments. The restaurant staff was even worse, especially one middle age lady, who appeared to be the head waitress. She was abrasive, and did not try to our needs.

We stayed in the hotel for 6 nights, because we have 2 young children and 2 elderly in our group, I thought having breakfast fixed through the hotel was easier. That was the biggest mistake I made. The breakfast had little variety and repeated every 2 days, so we had exactly the same thing the later 4 days, which was tasteless and dry. That waitress made us feel very unwelcome as foreigners. Every morning we left the breakfast room VERY ANGRY. It really didn't give us a great start of the day. From the third day on my husband refused to go for the breakfast. He rather buy his breakfast from the nearby Lawson convenient store, which had great selection with some food freshly made. I would actually recommend it as a breakfast option.

All in all, if you are someone who cares a lot about convenience (like me) and little about services - this would be great hotel for you. AVOID having breakfast there, there are far better (and cheaper) breakfast options nearby. There are also dozens of eateries that offer breakfast within Tokyo Station or the surrounding commercial buildings (like Marunouchi or Kitte).

Room Tip: The twin room is big with 2 semi double beds but it's also a lot more expensive. It is possible...

Rude staff, possibly the only Japanese people who are rude are employed by this hotel. Very unlike other lovely Japanese people i met.

I would stay away from this hotel in the future, rooms are clean though but they don't fix the bed every day unless you tell them to.
Very basic budget type hotel.

Nice nothing much to complain about appart from they are not tio good at english abd the place was harder to find in a snow storm
We are non smokers are stayed in both due to weather issues and just enough room fir te suitcases
Basically if you ate coming from tokyo station tru and stay on the main road to it as possible then either turn on its street or the one with the non jr rail train stop
There is a back access to gain entry
All abd all just what was needed but better maps are needed

They overbooked their non-smoking rooms and we ended up in a room that reeked of smoke. The front desk staff tried their best to make us happy and moved us into another room that smelled a little bit less, but it still smelled strongly of smoke. Not ideal after 15 hours of traveling to end up there. Located right on top of the Nihombashi Subway station. Tokyo Station - 6 minutes to walk. 2 of front desk guys had barely passable English. 1 not so good. Wifi good. Bed decent size. Good bathroom and water pressure. Good location. Almost no lobby. Restaurant looked nice - ostrich and fondue. Lots of eating choices nearby.

Room Tip: Warning: if you request a non-smoking room, it's not guaranteed and you may end up in a smoking...

I stayed in this hotel during a recent business trip to Tokyo.

The hotel was well-kept and the facilities were adequate.
Check-in was very fast and efficient and the staff were very friendly.
The proximity of this hotel to Tokyo station makes this one of the most convenient hotels to stay in if you're going to be rushing to and from Tokyo station.

And, I must mention that despite being located smack right in the middle of the commercial district, the price is reasonable and affordable. Although the compromise is that the rooms are relatively small. I have to give a special mention for their very very comfortable beds!

Lastly, one added bonus of staying in this hotel is the free telephone service that you can use for domestic calls, even for calls made between cities. This service is not readily available at the other hotels so I found it exceptionally helpful when I needed to call my friends in other parts of Japan.

Two thumbs up!

I stayed here overnight waiting to return home.
The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the main rail station but is slightly hidden down an alley.
The staff spoke some English and the room was as I have learned to expect.
Internet worked well but I did not find the LAN cable and received another one, later I found the cable in a drawer.
After some 12 days in Japan I am happy to be on the way home
