“My Tokyo Hotel Experience....”
Reviewed 4 August 2013

We reached this hotel at 10 am (after a long 10 hr flight from Sydney). The check-in was not allowed before 3pm. We left our luggage in the hotel, and went out for a short sight seeing tour !
We tried our luck at 1 pm at the hotel & they gave us a room before check-in time, nice surprise.
The experience at the reception (as in most of the Japan hotels) was OK with them luckinly knowing some words in english....
This hotel is 1 min walking from the Suitengūmae station (250mts) easy to travel to Oshiage (Tokyo Skytree) & 3 stations from Tokyo (gotto change at Otemachi). Also it is near to Kayabacho Station which is 5-8 mins walking (take Hibiya line from here for the Disney trip).

Room was very small, sleeping area not more than 6-8 ft wide, not the bed, but the Bedroom itself. That was dissapointing even by Tokyo standards. Also No Wifi (except lobby) so have to connect to Lan Cable only in rooms which is not very cool.
Also the food (breakfast was included) was not very good, rather below average I would say.

But the important factor is ....is it value for money ? I paid close to $100/night (including taxes), so i would say may be.....or NOT if I compare to the hotels i was staying in Osaka, Kyoto (other revies)
So to sum it all:

Location: 4/5
Room: 2/5
Cleanlines: 4/5
Food:2/5
Staff: 4/5 (they always tried helping us even with their limited knowledge of English, appreciate that).

Value for Money: NO ..Hence overall 3/5.

Good location, especially near TCAT !!
We stayed for six days and we are pleased for this hotel. Sure will come back again next time. Value for money, room was good and we had no major complaints about this hotel.

Stayed for two weeks in July 2013. The room was small, as expected, but there was enough room for my partner's and my own luggage, towels, clothes etc. Only bad thing about the room - not enough storage space for clothes so had to use space wisely. The breakfast wasn't that great, but there is a Doutor just round the corner which does Coffee, toast, sandwiches etc... The staff were all very lovely, and very helpful. The bed & room were cleaned daily. Great location, TCAT 1 min away, Suitengumae Metro Station 1 min away, and a 7Eleven & Family Mart on either side of the hotel. If you walk past the 7Eleven and metro station, there are a number of small bars, restaurants & shops - so if you can't be bothered to leave the area there are a lot of options available.
For the price and location of this hotel, I would definitely recommend to anybody traveling to Tokyo in the near future.

We got a really good deal and stayed 5 nights. I would have pay double if I knew what we were getting ourself into. The worse thing about the hotel is the smell. We stayed in the fourth floor and the smell of mold and food being re-heated was awful. We also had to change rooms since the AC broke in the first one. There is nothing really around the hotel but it's minutes walk from subway which takes you anywhere in the city. Don't feel tempted by the breakfast, it's not worth it, and internet is only in the lobby (inconvenient.) Find another hotel.

Room Tip: Probably, the higher you go the less of smell from lobby.

Stayed for two weeks last summer and we are still pleased with picking this hotel for our stay. Price was good and we had no major complaints about the hotel.

As many before me has mentioned, the location is excellent, just a few minutes of walking to the nearest metro station as well to the TCAT for easy access to and from the airport.

Hotel staff was super friendly and was easy to communicate with in English. Hotel offers free breakfast, decent enough selection of food and as a vegetarian it was easy to find something to eat. However, breakfast was served in lobby and certain mornings there was not enough seating for everyone.

Rooms where small but sufficient. Only thing I would complain about would be the extremely uncomfortable pillows (luckily I had brought my own) and that the room got very crammed for two people with luggage for two weeks as well as an instruction for using the AC in English would have been helpful to us. Rooms where cleaned daily and offered everything we needed.

If going back again we would consider staying at this hotel again.

This is a pretty well known chain in the Tokyo area - this one in Hakozaki is pretty good.

I pay around 6,000yen and get a regular room in the main building (there are ones in the second wing, but I have never stayed there).

All the reception staff speak fluent English and they are always very helpful and attentive. The rooms are small, but clean and efficient. You can tell the rooms were very well thought out because even though it is small, it is functional.

The best part about this place is probably the location. It is a 1-2min walk from T-CAT (bus terminal that has direct buses to Haneda and Narita Airport). There's also a great ramen shop across the street from the hotel called Kitakata Ramen and also 2 convenience shops nearby where I usually stock up when I check-in.

Also, if you have a business trip within Japan, it's close to Tokyo station where the bullet trains stop. Less than 10min by car or a few metro stops by train.

If you're not going to spend that much time in the room, this place is it - you've got access to Tokyo station, metro stations, and T-CAT. The only problem is that it is sometimes difficult to book because it seems to be always full/nearly full. Better to book in advance.

Room Tip: I always get the non-smoking standard room in the main building.

I stayed there for a week, defiently a place I would go back to!
Prime location, near the subway and TCAT. Easy access from the airport.
Stuff were super friendly, even though their English was horrible! Somehow we managed to overcome the communication problems, and had a great stay.

Room was very nice, clean and equipped. Nearby there is a 7Eleven shop, decent prices for prepared hot meals after you come back from a long travel day.
