“A Great First Impression of a Japanese Hotel”
Reviewed 14 December 2012

First you should know that this hotel seemed like it was for Business Men/Women stopping in Tokyo for short trip.

I stayed for 4 nights which was long enough, but don't be put off by that, i thoroughly enjoyed the time i spent there.

The rooms are small but very clean and space is utilised well. I had a bit of a problem regulating the temperature, it was either too hot or too cold. The windows don't open so you have to use the air-conditioning unit all the time.

The bathroom is well fitted and the water pressure is very good. I got caught out with fluctuating water temperatures though, the hot water is practically boiling so good if running a bath, bad if your in the shower and the cold water disappeared. This happened a few times.

Breakfast was simple but lovely, a good start to the day. A variety of juices/toast/ spreads/ croissant ect are provided in a sociable and clean eating area.

The computer that provides internet is very slow and it struggles loaded pages and photographs. saying that it's very cheap so with a little bit of patients you can check the necessities.

The Staff are very polite and a credit to the hotel industry. Very kind and helpful, they try their hardest to facilitate all your needs in the shortest amount of time. A young gentleman can speak very reasonable english if you can't speak Japanese like myself. A lovely young lad and a good ambassador for the hotel.

Over all perfect for what i needed it for, i had a clean and pleasant stay in Central Tokyo for a very good price.

I would happy come back for a few more days in the future.

Stayed 3 nights here - traveling solo. Nice and quiet - some good restaurants in the vicinity especially "Ponte du Garde", "Hokkaido" and "Tekkinro". Easy 10 minute walk to Ginza. Rooms TINY but very functional - comfy beds, bedside light console, internet. Would recommend for business travelers. They do a reasonable breakfast for ¥350 (juice, tea/coffee, bread, soup, boiled egg). Friendly staff. Recommend.

The rooms were small.. as small as you can get without sleeping in the bathroom.. but the hotel is quaint, the staff is exceptional and totally professional .. it is a quiet street in Shintomi with many great little cafe and the famous PAKA standing bar around the corner.. the breakfast was free and well stocked.. it would be nice to have free internet in the room however. It was very inexpensive.. great for business man doing business in Chuo who stayed in town too late to catch the last train and needed a 3500 yen $50 room with a clean comfy bed to get through the night and hit the mean streets of Tokyo in the morning without having to take long train ride home and back in the morning. Rates are double for two and double again on Saturday which is weird but that is all good.. I love the neighborhood, it is quiet.. there is a 7-11 on the corner.. Shintomicho station one block away.. and again the PAKA standing bar is open until the master kicks you out at 4am... then you can go O bar and have one more drink and listen to soul music until the sun comes up.. who needs to work..

Room Tip: you can take a cab to Hamatchicho (whatever) and the Monorail to Haneda airport is $6 and 16 minutes...

When I went for a business trip to Tokyo last year, I decided not to stay at the hotel chain that my office often used. I found the Seven Seas from the internet and I chose this hotel because it's located near the Shintomi-chou Station of Yurakucho Line, which helped me easily access the office of clients along the Yurakucho Line.

Looking at their website, I had an impression that the hotel might be very 'luxurious'. After getting out from the subway, I was a bit surprise to find some narrow roads surrounded with dense housing complex. I couldn't see any eye-catching tall buildings except the huge Chuo-ku Ward Office. Arriving at the hotel, I was even more surprise to find out that it's just a 'small' hotel.

I thought I made a mistake of choosing this hotel. But, I was welcome with a welcome drink (2-3 kinds of juice) and warm greetings from the front desk. The counter was small and a group of visitors was also waiting for the check-in. The staffs seemed very responsive, another staff came out from the backdoor (possibly the Manager) and helped processing our check-in altogether.

Size of the room and bed was standard, but very comfortable and clean. The internet was available and the table was spacious enough for a laptop and documents. Don't expect a terrific scene when you open the curtain, but since it is surrounded by housing, it's very quiet at night. No need to worry about not having a good sleep. The breakfast was also very standard with various drinks and types of bread.

In general, it is a good place for business people looking for a place to rest in hectic Tokyo or concentrate on preparing for a job for the following day. But, don't expect too much if you travel for leisure...
