A good and friendly 24-hour restaurant. Must try the Miso Red Snapper Fish Head, as well as the Hotate Sushi and the Sea Eel Hand Roll.

It took us a while to arrive there because it's located in an alley (and we were following the address on the guidebook), but when leaving we realised that they have opened another restaurant (same name) in the same block, which is much more visible from the main street. It's crowded and noisy but with the freshest fish.
We ordered an assortment of sushi, a plate of vegetable and seafood tempura, miso soup and some specific temaki. Everything was good but the eel was the highlight of the evening.
The staff has limited English skills but good will so we got everything we wanted except for a bottle of sake, which then appeared on the bill. Except for this, it was a great experience and we would definitely go back.
Anyway, the menu is available in English. Seating at the counter is possible and gives a first row experience of staff preparing sushi.
We had already tried this chain in Osaka and once again it didn't let us down.

What to do when arriving near Tsukiji late at night? Sushizanmai, of course!

The convenient location directly outside the Tsukiji metro station makes this branch much easier to find compared to the one within Tsukiji market.

There was no line around midnight, and it was easy to get a seat at the bar (or a table). And despite the late hour, the chefs were friendly and energetic.

And the sushi? Oiishiiiiii!!! Albacore, Chutoro, Aji, Hotate, Hamachi, Uni, and more...every single piece was melt-in-your-mouth fresh and creamy-delicious, even though it was far from peak time.

Great sushi, reasonable prices, and crisp draft beer. The only thing missing is some of the unique and distinctive variets at the high-end shops. 5-star quality for all the "standard" sushi bar items.

This place serves affordable and amazingly fresh sushi/sashimi/chirashidon! Chawanmushi and nigiri are also available (Chawanmushi is almost gone in the spring since it's a winter dish). I've never eaten my fill of sushi because of the price tag, but I had my fill and much more in this restaurant.

If you have a craving for sushi, this is the name you must remember. They have around 10 branches around the Tsujiki area - some are open from 11 am to 9 pm, one is open from 11 am to 5 am, and they also have a 24 hour restaurant.

Just order from the menu, or you can also give the friendly sushi chefs free rein to serve you what is the freshest for the day. Portions start from Y98 for salmon sushi, to Y128 for Ika (squid) sushi, and can go up to Y500 for a sea urchin hand roll. The two of us ended up ordering around 35 pieces of sushi for dinner, which cost us around Y5500 (including drinks) - not too bad for such fresh and tasty food.

Service is also excellent, and you feel like you are in a family-run restaurant rather than a chain, with the sushi chefs engage in regular banter with their regulars.

Definitely a must try if you are in the area. We loved it so much that we went back three time in four days.
