I stayed in APA only one night (only passing through Tokyo).
Rooms are (not surprisingly) very small. Beds are very small. Bathroom is very small. But, so far I did not find a hotel in Japan that would have big rooms.
Toaletries: anything that you can ask for (pretty much standard deal in Japan).
Why I stayed in this hotel was its location: train station can be reached in 10 mins (walking). For nightlife and food, I did not find anything in the proximity of the hotel.
Breakfast is Japanese, so if you are not into fish, noodles, algae, better try to get some cafe.

This hotel is in a great location, in between two major railway lines and a short stroll away from the main Tokyo station. The rooms are quite clean, but small. The reception staff don't speak English very well, but with enough hand signals and patience, you can get your point across. The subway station, Takaracho station, is the line directly from Tokyo Narita Airport is a mere 250 metres away from the front door of the hotel, no line changes or train swaps.

We stayed here for one night after flying in from Australia. We walked with our luggage from Tokyo station to where it said it was on the map, but what appeared to be a main road on our map ended up being an overpass, but it took us 10 minutes to figure that out. We finally found it, with the entrance at the end of an alleyway.
The rooms were small, buts that's to be expected for the location in Japan. But don't let that sway you, if you're spending time in your hotel room other than for sleeping while in Tokyo, you're missing out!
If you're arriving with luggage, I recommed getting a taxi from Tokyo station, then use the metro once you're settled in.

This is an adequate budget hotel. The room was one of the smallest we’ve stayed in whilst in Japan, though. We were travelling with carry-on suitcases, so relatively small, but the room was so itsy-bitsy, that we couldn’t leave them open; so you are literally living out-of your suitcase. The location was decent, about a 10minute walk from Tokyo Central and it was okay in terms in cleanliness, but could be better (as noted by other reviewers, carpets need vacu’uming, and walls need wiping down…) Fine for a night or two, but not longer.

Our real issue was the price tag. We were there during one of the cherry-blossom week-ends, so virtually every hotel in Tokyo was booked-out and there were very limited options available when we reserved. Now, while we understand the fundamentals of supply and demand, paying £177 (~$300USD) for such a boxy, budget room is outrageous. Had it been $100, no complaints, but no-one likes to feel ripped off! All in all, I think there are better budget options in Tokyo.

It is a nice and cozy hotel, close to the Central Station. Its very small, but thats what you get the money and the location considered. Clean, nice bathroom and amenities. Do take an adaptor with you, cauz they don't provide at the reception.
