“Cute hotel, great location! I will be back!”
Reviewed 11 April 2012

I recently went to Japan to visit one of my good friends. Her apartment is very small (210 sq.ft.) so I had to find a hotel. This is a fantastic hotel in a great location! It is reasonably priced and the staff are amazing. It is situated close to the subway and a ten minute walk from the Airport Limousine (airport bus) service. The staff went out of their way to help me out and they all spoke English. Familymart (Japan's 7-11) next door and also a 7-11 across the street. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Free coffee and wifi in the lobby. Post office nearby. The room is compact (like most Japanese hotels) but it has everything you need. Comfortable bed and I have to say again - the staff are incredible!! I highly recommend this hotel and I will be back!

We went to Tokyo during 17-20 Mar after serch and read review from many sites, definitely the most reliable, TripAdvisor too. Our Hotel of Choice is Hotel Horidome Villa, Ningyocho in Central Tokyo.

The hotel is Faboulous and Affordable which offer from many sites www.hotels.com where we got our booking during the period around 185 USD for 3 nights similar to www.bookings.com where you pay at the hotel at 15000 Yen.

From Haneda Airport, you can take subway Keikyu/ Asakusa Line to Ningyocho Sta cost 590 Yen for Adult and 300 Yen for Child. Please ask station officer of the right train/time and track before board without changing train through Ningyocho Sta.
After reach Ningyocho Sta the closest Exit is A5 and for those who with Luggage Elecator Serve at Exit A6 from A5 take when you take stair to street level, turn left and turn left again at the junction for A6 just accross the junction head to Ningyocho Dori (Ningyocho Street), go straight all along Ningyocho Dori Hotel Horidome Villa located on your left and along the way you will find many restaurants, a big drug store&supermarket, a big stationary shop and just 1 building before reach the hotel Lawson, convenience store will be on your left next to Japanese Restuarant then the hotel front door. If you head further 1 building to Kodemmacho Sta/Subway Hibiya Line Yoshinoya, Beef-Pork Bowl which open 24 hour just right there.

The hotel located in between 2 Subway Stations Ningyocho Sta, subway Toei Asakusa Line / Hibiya Line and Kodemmacho Sta, subway Hibiya Line.
It's easy access to travel spots in Tokyo as for 1 Sta away from Kodemmacho to reach Akihabara, from Ningyocho Sta on Hibiya Line to reach Tsukiji, fish market in 3 Sta, and 3 Sta on Toei Asakusa Line to Ginza. Including si many restaurants of your choices with in walking distance Takoyaki, Gindaco , Yoshinoya , Starbucks and many more!!!

To Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea, take subway Hibiya Line from Ningyocho Sta to Hatchobori Sta and change train to JR Keiyo Line ti Maihama which take only 15-20 min.

The check in time is 15:00, if your room is not ready when you arrive, you can left your luggage at the hotel.
The hotel staff speak good English to asssist you.

In your room, all equip with 5 star hotel amenities: Hair Dryer, Flat screen TV, Hot water maker, Free LAN line for your laptop or you can hire one at the hotel. The hotel lobby provide Free Wifi Internet and pay desk top Internet access.
Free Japanese Tea in room and Coffe in the lobby.

We will definitely return to stay here again, Enjoy your Japan Trip!!!

This was a great choice for two early-twenties siblings on a 10-day trip wanting a bit more security and privacy (and better internet connection) than a hostel would provide for almost no greater cost than a hostel. It was very easy to get to from Kodemmacho station on the Hibya line of the Tokyo Metro subway system (walking distance from Nihonbashi station on the Hibya line also, though Kodemmacho is closer.) There's high-speed LAN cable internet service which was great, a small FamilyMart service station next door (and 7-11 and Lawson's also on the street, as well as McDonalds and Starbucks and lots of places to eat including a sushi train) and the staff were always smiling and remembered our room numbers which made us feel great! The rooms are small but certainly not uncomfortable, and unless you're staying for more than two weeks or plan on being in your rooms for more than just sleeping, showering, and a brief wind-down at the end of the day I really don't know why you'd need more space.

There's no real "center" of Tokyo so we weren't out of the way at all and indeed lots of great things to see and do are located on the Hibya line itself making transport easy (though transferring lines is pretty simple as well) and you never have to wait long for a tokyo metro subway so transport or location wasn't a hassle. No matter where you were staying you'd be travelling on the Tokyo Metro and transferring lines - there's no "best" place to stay location-wise (in my opinion). The area of the hotel itself isn't busy or vibrant but other than a nightlife you're not wanting for anything and as I said it's quick to get to any sort of area you'd like to go for partying/larger selection of restaurants/shopping. (And cheaper than staying in those areas like Shibuya or Shinjuku, I imagine!)

What more could two kids of 22 and 23 want than a clean room, clean towels, bed bigger than their single ones at home, fast internet, TV with about ten stations and a hot shower? There's also a small bar-fridge and kettle in the room if you want to bring in drinks or make some tea or 2-minute style noodles/snacks. We opted out of the daily room clean (just turned our door signs to "room clean not necessary" though they'll ask you when you leave for the day and hand in your key anyway) just to not have to think about clearing up and for additional security measures (after our mother harped on about general security in hotels) but it's available! The room also had heating.

I imagine if we spent more time in the hotel and our trip had been a lot longer than 10 days the small space might have bothered us; however when we were out of the hotel exploring Tokyo (and day trips to other parts of Japan) from morning to late evening this wasn't an issue and I think I could have gone another month without being bothered by it! A cupboard or space other than the floor between the desk and bed to shove my bag might have been nice though I suppose. It was cheap, clean and perfect for our needs and I would stay there again in a heartbeat unless my visit was for longer than three or four weeks. Obviously though I don't think though that this hotel would suit people travelling with children that they'd need to share rooms with or a baby that would need space for its stuff, (however if you were a couple travelling with a pre-teen or teenagers that can have their own room it would be fine) or people that are used to fancier hotels with lots of space, or people that feel as though they need hotels with room service.

I selected "friends" as the sort of trip because even though we were brother and sister, we were two early-twenties youths travelling together independently of our parents in a friend-type dynamic, so "family" type of trip might imply a different sort of holiday.

Things in walking distance/on the street the hotel is on:
McDonalds
Starbucks
Freshness Burger (a burger chain you'll see everywhere, which offers 2 vegetarian options)
FamilyMart, Lawson's, 7-11
Karaoke bar
Other restaurants (traditional, sushi train, pizza, cafe with sandwiches)
Small street clothing stores
A couple of blink-and-you'll miss them tiny bars (called "clubs", usually up a few floors from ground level)
Japanese book stores

Room Tip: The rooms we had (two king-singles on the 7th floor) were very much alike with no real difference be...

after reading review here, i decided to spend a couple nights in this hotel for my Tokyo vacation. I myself found out this hotel worth every Yen we pay. Although reception or staff have limitation in English but they have high-level of service minded.

It also was located near Metro Subway, Family mart, so it's very convenience for us.

Finally, I can say that 'It's great choice for ones who want to save money for accommodation'

After reading previous reviews and assessing the cost of accommodation in Tokyo, my wife and I booked 3 nights at the Horidome Villa. It was amazing value at 40 pounds per night, compared to other hotels in the area charging double that.
The Hotel is located in the historic business district of Nihonbashi that is within walking distance to both the metro and JR lines. Once you can get on train in Tokyo you can get to any place you want, the transport system is amazing!
Hotel Horidome offers a very relaxed reception foyer where people sit down to have free coffee and watch the world go by outside. The semi double rooom we stayed in was small but it maximised the space well and the bed was very comfortable. Our only complaint was that the air con acted more like a heater and therefore the room was quite stuffy.
The staff were always friendly and cute and attentive to our needs.
You will not find a cheaper or more rewarding option for getting to know the wonderful city of Tokyo than staying here.

Room Tip: Make sure you choose a non smoking room as the smoking ones you can smell a mile away!

We had one night at the Horidome Villa. Our daughter was looking for a budget hotel, staying a week longer, so we joined her and B/F for one night. Thankfully, we booked a bigger room. It was still small, but OK for one night. With large suit cases, they needed to be on the bed, so we could move around the room or on the floor when in bed. However, the hotel scores well in terms of amenity, cleanliness, helpful management and location. For us, it was a place to stay for one night, at the end of our hoilday and it was fine.
I don't know how our daughter and her (very large) boyfriend survived a week in the smaller room. They had no complaints. (Young love??) The B/f became unwell during their stay and hotel management were very helpful in arranging an ambulance.
As long as you have realistic expectations as to what you will be receiving for a VERY modest tariff, you will not be disappointed. If you crave space, increase your budget and say somewhere else.

Room Tip: Book the large rooms.

We stayed here for 7 nights. This hotel is conveniently located in the middle of 4 subway/metro stations. The staff are friendly and very helpful when it comes to planning your day's activities, most had very good english. The price we paid was significantly cheaper than other hotels, and was great value. The rooms are small but comfortable, and contained everything you need ie kettle, ensuite, tv, desk, and even slippers and bathrobes. Wifi is free, however this is only accessible in the lobby.
overall, a great place to stay - highly recommended
