We stayed 4 nights on a Tokyo stopover. What can I say, the staff were exceptional and went out of their way to be of assistance, they spent nearly an hour finding the "right" Teppanyaki Bar" for us to have dinner (was brilliant) and organised a taxi for us. The room although small was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. Location was great, within walking distance of subway, restaurants etc and not touristy.

We stayed here on our last night in Tokyo at the end of our trip. It's very conveniently situated to Tokyo Station, and if you have a JR pass the Yamanote circle line is your key to the city (as it's the only free subway line with the pass). It's a small thing, but because it overlooks some big roads and the rail line, it makes you really FEEL like you're in Tokyo. But don't worry, the windows are double-glazed and it keeps out the noise. It wasn't the best place we stayed but it was good value and had a few important touches.

It shared many characteristics of other hotels we stayed in - a very firm mattress and hard pillow (seems to be very standard in Japan), a bathroom big enough for only one person at a time (particularly small, and I had to bend over to use the mirror!), free slippers, free toothbrush and other minor toiletries, but no English language TV. Small fridge with no minibar.

Pluses compared to other hotels on our trip: Free wifi in the lobby! Every other place we stayed had a free LAN cable in the room with the option to rent a laptop and that was it. This was the first place with laptops to use in the lobby and free lobby wifi! Wifi is surprisingly hard to get in Japan, we never found an internet cafe. It also had a rare free breakfast with surprisingly good, fresh pastries and decent coffee (and the odd potato salad and coleslaw). We also lucked out and got a corner room so it was far larger than any other room we'd stayed in - it actually had room for a chair and tiny table! Ask for a room with 15 in it (e.g. 915) to get a corner.

Minuses compared to other hotels: Even on a cool October day the room was stuffy and hot, yet there was a sign asking us to keep the window closed because high wind might damage them. Forget that, we cracked the window anyway because the air conditioning was pathetic. The breeze cooled it right down but I'd hate to think what it would be like in summer. You couldn't leave the window open overnight anyway because of the road noise.

Room Tip: Rooms with '15' in them should put you in a larger corner room.

The hotel is located centrally and is very near to the business district. Kanda station for metro is very nearby and you get one more station on the other side. A 24x7 convenience store is located right below the hotel. The rooms are small and you may be surprised at the first glance, if you don't have too much clues about the space constraints and prices in Tokyo. The breakfast served is very basic, just some breads, spreads and salads with juice an coffee. But it kind of serves the purpose. The rooms are equipped with a water boiler, TV (it airs only 10 local Japanese channels), phone, alarm clock, night suit, bathroom amenities, Ethernet port internet. An Indian restaurant is at a 7 minute walking distance (Ali Siddique Nihonbashi Mitsukoshimae Branch, Nihonbashi Muromachi, Chuo, Tokyo Prefecture 103-0022, Japan). You may write to me, in case you require any further details. Happy to help.

Room Tip: Choose room on either the 4th or 8th floor, as it has a coin operated 24x7 laundry and vending machi...

Since space is at a premium in Tokyo, I shouldn't complain about the small rooms. They are clean and comfortable enough. There is no storage, and the open closet is very small, so plan accordingly.

The breakfast area is bright and clean. This is not the typical American breakfast, or European breakfast, a few pastries, potato salad, cole slaw and miso soup, and coffee and juice. There was no protein available. But adequate in any regard.

The staff is very friendly. The hotel is very well located to Tokyo Station, less than a kilometer away. It is a very good value.

This hotel was easy to locate, staff are very helpful and friendly, breakfast ( included in the price of the room) was great and the whole hotel was soooo super clean. Price was incredibly reasonable . Free wifi in the lobby is handy.

Room Tip: Our room was on the 12th floor and super quiet, could not hear any neighbours and the hotel was full

The Keio Presso Otemachi is well described by the previous two reviewers. Convenient to transportation lines, including the main JR station "Tokyo." No need for taxis even when coming from the airport with jetlag. Very helpful desk staff, free internet in the lobby, small refrigerator and tea making facilities in the room, incredibly quiet. The croissants were better than many I have had in France. One thing: they served only coffee--no tea--at breakfast. Go figure.

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel. This is a business hotel and you can see a lot of Japanese businessmen staying there. It is close to the Japanese Bank. It takes around 5-6 minutes walk to Tokyo station and 2-3 minutes to Kanda station. The room is super clean, with all the amenities that you need. It also provides a pajama. The staffs are very polite and you can enjoy free internet access at the lobby. But of course, you shouldn't expect too much about the breakfast. In general, I would recomend this hotel. The rate is fair, location is good.
