The specialty is Japanese curry. We first dined at this restaurant by chance in 2003 just after it opened. We make a point of dining here on every trip to Tokyo.
This very inconspicuous restaurant has table seating for 14 and 4 stools at the bar. One can watch the meal as it is prepared by the chef and served by family members.
The food is outstanding as is the service. The restaurant is small, intimate, warm and comfortable. The staff attentive and very friendly. Though english is limited, they make the effort to make non-Japanese speakers feel at home and will patiently work with the customer to establish their preferences.
This is NOT a fancy restaurant nor is there a view. It is the perfect place for an amazing meal in comfortable, friendly surroundings for a good price. In my opinion, this is the best kind of dining.
