A nice hotel! Some previous reviewers complain about it being somewhat dated. I could not agree less. Really nice and clean rooms (with an unusually quite air conditioner). The executive lounge is definitely worth the extra money. The view and the service in the lounge are amazing (if you are lucky you might be able to see the silhouette of Mount Fuji from one of the windows in the lounge). I have only two complaints: There is an extra charge for the Internet and the front desk is not very efficient (strange mistakes that are hard to explain).

We choose this hotel as the location for our Tokyo stay this May. We stayed five nights and very pleased with the choice. A little downside is the size of the rooms, even the business floors we got upgraded to did not make the room bigger. The pictures on the hotel website flatter here. Luckily housekeeping forgot the baby bed rooms are too small but bed was big enough for all the family. A 1.5 year old tries to get into parent's bed anyway.
Front desk and concierge are professional and friendly as are the main restaurant staff. We were extremely happy with the very kids friendly crew of the Japanese restaurant. by the way the chef and his cooking is equally good.
Getting to and from the hotel is easy with public transport on the doors step.

The hotel is located in between to train stations. It takes between 5 to 10 mins to walk to either. One of them has an excellent espresso bar in the underground shopping walkway to Roppongi Itchome which I would recommend. There is also a french style bakery in the shopping complex next to the hotel which I went often.

Service at the hotel was excellent, rooms were clean and well-furnished. The exterior of the hotel may look a little old, but the interior is elegant and well deserving for the InterContinental brand.

I really enjoyed my stay!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with the view of the Tokyo Tower, it looks fabulous at night!

Located a stones trhow from the Tameike-Sanno Subway station offering three lines, the Ginza, Namboku and Marunouci Lines you can reach pretty much anywhere within 15-20 minutes. A short subway tide away is the famed Shibuya Crossing and Shipping District, the Upscale Ginza Shopping District, 20 minutes to the Tokyo Dome for ball bames and 20 minutes to Shimbukuu.
Make sure you exit the subway through exit 13 or you will be walking a long way.

The rooms are large for Japanese standards and actually fit in the Western Style rooms with King Beds, Flat Panel TV with CNN, BBC and American Channels like Fox, Work area, A/C. and daily paper. A much needed amenity after a long day out in Tokyo. Convenience shops located nearby and the Minato Twin Towers offers a food court next door if you do not want to eat in the Hotel.

Located not in the mess of things but just a short subway ride (very safe) away from it all.

Get a PASMO card and charge it up so you can ride buses, subways, trains and even shop at 7 Elevens with it, sort of like a charge up debit card.

The staff is awesome and the amenities equal to or superior to any standards in the West.

Make full use of the Concierge as they can direct you to anything you need, I even ordered Baseball tickets through them and they were waiting for me when I got back from sightseeing.

I would definitely stay again.

Big fan of this place. Check in was easy but wi-fi was not free unless you sign up for their rewards club (which we did at check in and was free and easy to sign up). The area is mostly business but is about a 20 minute walk to Roppongi and a 20 minute walk to the Imperial Palace. The 7-11 around the corner has a lot to offer (including green tea kit kats!). There's a Starbucks and Doutor nearby for coffee and sandwiches in the morning. Also the hotel is really close to the Tameike-sanno subway stop which took care of most of our transport needs.

Pros:
-The room is spacious; easily accommodates two people with an American style king size bed (though called a double bed when we booked).
-The room and surrounding area is really quiet. Like, really quiet. I'm a terrible sleeper and normally have to sleep with earplugs. At this hotel it was so quiet I was able to ditch my earplugs and I slept like a baby.
-The drinks at the bar on the 36th floor were very expensive but very good and quite creative.
-The room's water pressure in the shower is great.
-The bed is comfortable.
-The A/C worked quite well.
-The fitness center was spacious and had a lot of cardio capacity.

Cons:
-The lobby smells like old cigarette smoke which has been covered up with perfume. Gross.
-The hotel bar on the 36th floor is nice and has a great view but is quite warm (no A/C?) and the service is pretty slow.
-We only tried the eggs and sides breakfast once (not the buffet) and it was expensive and just ok. Nothing to rave about and the service was a little slow.

Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.
