“Good location, above average 3 star hotel”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

This is a typical and above average business hotel. But it's service, cleanness and facilities standard are higher than other 3 star hotels in Asia. The room size is bigger than the other downtown hotels as well. There are plenty of selections from the buffet breakfast, various from Western to Japanese cuisines. And you could sit closed to the window to enjoy the view from Tokyo Tower.

It takes you 2-3 mins walk from the hotel main entrance to Onarimon metro station. From there you could get to Ginza, Shibuya, and Shijuku within 30 minutes by metro. There are several convenient stores (7/11, family mart) within 5 mins walking distance.

Around the hotel, I would recommend you to visit Zojoji Temple. It's located next to the hotel main entrance. Its grounds contain the mausoleum of the Tokugawa family. It is lovely to walk through the grounds and immerse yourself in the Japanese style garden. I would not recommend you to get into the Tokyo Tower as it is nothing special from the other towers around the world. But if you still have energy after dinner, I strongly recommend you to walk to the closed by neighbourhood - Roppongi Hills. This is a newly developed area attracting for international visitors. There are some stores and restaurants as well as a variety of other facilities such as an art museum, and cinema. The viewing platform on the 52nd floor of Mori Tower above Roppongi Hills offers unbroken view of Tokyo Tower and the surrounding areas.

There is only one downside from the hotel: Even the hotel guest will be charged JPY2000 per day to access to the hotel swimming pool. This is the only hotel that charges swimming pool access for its guests by far for me. I thought this rule could be optimised in the future.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor room that can look up to the Tokyo Tower.

We stayed for two nights for business, central location handy to transport.
Breakfast was 23000 and was a large selection. The hotel is huge and does look like something from another era, but it was clean and spacious and had a bit of character about it. The staff were attentive. We did arrive early and were unable to check in before the designated 1400 and had to pay 10000 per hour for a late check out, I thought this a little inflexible for such a large hotel.

average quality of japan hotels.
just the washroom is a bit old. Overall size is good.
but we booked a 3 ppl room, they just arranged a sofa bed for the third person. which is a bit uncomfortable. the view is ok. you can see the main train station.

We spent seven nights in this hotel in Tokyo. The location is good, with easy access to underground lines, and about ten minutes from JR circle line. Large rooms for japanese standards, and huge reception and common areas, all spotlessly clean. Our room had a nice view over Tokyo Tower, which was a plus, particularly with the lights on at night. We had buffet breakfast at the Pikake tea salón almost everyday, and it was very good value, it starts at 9:am, ok if you're not an early riser! (of course there are other options for breakfast, but more expensive). Had dinner one night at the Tempura restaurant in the hotel, very very good. Service was great, as is the norm in Japan. The hotel concierge even arranged a reservation for dinner in Osaka very efficiently. All in all, the hotel deserves more than three stars

Room Tip: The rooms on the back have nice views over a park and Tokyo Tower

We stayed here for 3 nights and we found the hotel a bit dated but very clean and pretty spacious (what we didn't expect to have in the center of Tokyo). Location-wise - very well! Metro station Onarimon is just a five minute walk, the Tokio tower is also a five minute walk if you take the back exit of the hotel.
The breakfast was nothing fancy and actually expensive compared to what was offered. Not much western food to choose - which is a little strange for this size of hotel. The french breakfast restaurant "le pain quotedien" just outside of the hotel has a very nice breakfast choice and the staff is perfect. Would recommend this to everybody whom don't want to pay a fortune, but still be in the very center of Tokio.

There is a nice garden surrounding it and within walking distance is the famous yokohama ramen in a small little shop. The best i have in Tokyo. You can see tokyo tower, very near distance. The subway is about 5-8 minutes walk. But walking through the garden is nice. Not many highrise building around is is a nice enviroment.

Room Tip: There is room with view of tokyo tower.

Of all the hotels I have stayed in Tokyo over the years, and comparing twin rooms only, this was by far the biggest room, really very spacious. Clean and with the usual amenities. The location is very good: it has a subway station on a corner of the property, a major temple on one side, and Tokyo Tower behind it and within walking distance.
The two negatives -- breakfast was relatively expensive, and the hotel is in need of renovation.

Room Tip: If your room faces east [not looking at Tokyo Tower] then make sure your blinds are drawn or else yo...
