“Standard Sheraton in an off the track location”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

Recently Refurbished the Sheraton is what you would expect from the brand. Nothing wow in the hardware, very clean with lovely Sheraton Sleeper Beds & very pleasant staff. Breakfast is limited and expensive if its not part of your room rate. You need to get a taxi or use the Shuttle to get to the closest train station.
Westin is my preferred option being an SPG member, however this was an adequate back up when the Westin was running full.
I wish they would set the standard above other hotels and ban smoking in the bar - makes for an unpleasant aperitif.

Room Tip: Ask for refurbished rooms

Thank you very much for your staying at Sheraton Miyako Hotel Tokyo.
I also thank you for taking your time to write to us.
Our hotel is located in one of Tokyo’s rich residential area so it is true that it is 7-8 minutes’ walk from the hotel to the nearest 24 hours-open convenience store.
We operate free shuttle service to JR Meguro station leaving about every 15 minutes and I recommend to use this shuttle for your shopping and dining out.
7 min walk to the nearest subway “Shirokanedai” station provides you the fastest and easiest access to the main terminal station such as Tokyo, Ginza, Shibuya, Shinjuku and Omote-sando.Moreover, the prepaid card of Tokyo subway system is also usable for all trains, buses and for shopping in major convenience stores.

We are thankful you chose to stay with us and look forward to seeing you again next time.

Sincerely,
Guest Service

I Stayed there with my wife and 18 month daugher from 3-Apr-14 - 5-Apr-14 and then 7-9 April-14. Conveniently located. Easy access to subway and evert 15 min to Meguro station. Shibuyu crossing was only 7 minutes away via JR from Meguro. Lots of eating options near by, specially Katsu sushi. The customer service was top of the line. The Japanese garden which is part of the property is well kept and is accessible to the guest. Rooms were really big, bathroom were super clean and front desk was super responsive. A+++

Room Tip: Stay in Floor 7 or up but not 727 as that is close to the elevator

This hotel is very well maintained and set in quite part of Tokyo. Rooms are spacious, complementary WIFI worked good, room service very discrete and efficient. With breakfast hotel should be more creative, only 4 types of breakfast available.
Standard Sheraton hotel with exceptional Japanese level of service. Highly recommended for any business traveler.

We just arrived back from our holiday in Japan and used this hotel at the beginning and end of our trip. Very comfortable, clean and excellent location. The concierge desk is extremely helpful, lots of maps of surrounding districts, info on how to use the trains, subway etc. hotel also has a very useful free shuttle bus to local station. We used their bamboo lounge and Japanese restaurant. Both of which we enjoyed. Also plenty of local places to eat which the hotel has maps of. Staff are excellent and English is very good.

Better than that, A few glossary markets, 24 hours-open convenience store, 100 yen shop, liquor shop and some nice restaurants are within walking distance from the hotel.
The live Jazz performance in our lobby lounge bamboo is very popular among our guests.
We appreciate your sincere feedback and hope you will give us the opportunity to welcome you again.

Stayed for a week at the SHeraton Mikayo over Christmas and very much enjoyed it. The hotel is conveniently located (5-7 mins walking) to Shirokanedai metro station but there is also a free shuttle bus that takes you to JR Meguro station which we used a number of times and was very useful. The hotel is slightly dated, but has a warm, cosy and calm ambience. The rooms were not very spacious (it is Tokyo afterall) but very comfortable with all the usual amenities. No complaints at all other than the temperature of the room which was very hot and there was no way to get fresh air (windows are sealed shut). The hotel kindly responded by providing us with a standlone air cooler which did help to cool the room down a bit and we were grateful for it, but it was surprising the room was so hot even with the air conditioning switched off and in the middle of winter! We are regular visitors to Japan and will definitely stay in the Miyako again.

I recently completed a two night stay at the Sheraton Miyako Tokyo. As a SPG Platinum member, I was upgraded to a renovated corner room with king bed. While spacious, the room was rather inefficient the usage of space. For example, the round dining table also doubled its function as an awkward desk. Moreover, the bathroom appeared to be partially renovated with the bathroom tiles carried over from the original. As a guest, the overall impression is a slightly dated but well maintained facility.

The hotel, a brisk 5 minute walk to the Shirokanedai and Shirokane-takanawa metro stations. The Mita Line, served by both stations, provides direct access to eastern Tokyo including the Imperial Palace and Ginza. The Namboku Line is only two stops away to Roppongi. Other destinations will generally require a transfer to another line. Local convenience stores and restaurants can be found nearby both stations.

However, the standout of the Sheraton Miyako Tokyo are the outstanding staff at the concierge desk. Before arriving in Tokyo, the desk helped secure a close in reservation at Sushi Yoshitake along with tickets for a concert at Suntory Hall. Each e-mail communication was prompt and easy to understand. Upon arrival, a welcome packet with clear, detailed instructions for getting to your direction. Without a doubt, their service helped me experience the best of what Tokyo offers without any extra stress or concern.

Without a doubt, I come back to the Sheraton Miyako Tokyo just for the concierge services. Nevertheless, the hotel also provides a fairly reliable experience to return to.

This hotel is top drawer. After a long flight from North America, the lobby and front desk is a welcome site for any jet lagged traveller. The staff is speak fluent english and give good tips on Japanese customs and or local colour to check out. The rooms are spotless and comfortable with few English channels on the new flat screen. After settling in the room and I decided to have dinner in the lounge down in the lobby area, to my surprise it was very busy and lively but it was easy to find seating in one of the comfortable sofa chairs. There were lots of stylish people enjoying themselves obviously out for the evening which made for good people watching. I ordered a Miso Mushroom pasta which was a a "ten'....simple and fresh. Anyway long review short this a great hotel if you get the chance to vist Tokyo.
