“Revere for the 47 Ronins”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

Not likenthe sensational tourist-trap temples, but a gravesite to the 47 Ronins. Worth a visit to pay respects to some very brave men.

“Definitely worth a visit”
Reviewed 26 May 2014

This was one of the biggest surprises in store for us in Tokyo. The story of the 47 Ronan is moving. To be able to take our time for reflection in this historical location was a gift. Don't miss the water chime tucked in a corner. Just beautiful.

“47 Ronan”
Reviewed 23 May 2014 via mobile

This place is beautiful and a must see if you are interested in history of the 47 Ronan. You can buy an English written pamphlet which will give you the full story. The place is very significant and we felt an eerie feel. This area is were they are buried and where they brought the head to wash. The memorial hall or museum was great and worth the money. A must see and a highlight of our holiday.

“An Easy Walk from Tokyo Tower”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

This is a temple you must visit. Remember, it's a place of worship so be respectful. Have a look at the statues for all the deceased children. Go inside and enjoy the beauty. Have lunch at a nearby restaurant. The Tower and this temple are a great outing.

“If you have read or known about 47 ronin , you have to go”
Reviewed 23 March 2014

The place is amazing , like a little piece of old Japan, it likes the time does not pass here, it is amazing to think that the 47 ronin lived in 1700.
There are some really Japanese store at the entrance, you can buy some real Japanese souvenirs.
And after you can see the craves , the temple, the museum, and all of this in the middle of the city.
I love this place.
