“Small but clean rooms”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 April 2014

We had a double room booked at a cheap price and we got a 16.2 sq.m. room in the new wing. With all our luggage (2 strolleys and 2 backpacks) we had just enough space to stand around. However since we were outside most of the time, did not mind it. The place was clean and had very good LAN connection in the room.

Service was limited, but received refills for the coffee maker whenever demanded. The bathroom was again small and because of that the door of the bathroom opened outside and further cramped the room if both were getting ready! However it had everything that you would need including a bath tub.

Morning breakfast buffet was limited, but I had a taste of a bit of japanese cuisine in that. However it was repeated every 2-3 days. They have lot of dispensers at the ground floor and at every 4th floor from which you can get water, etc (and all the time I tried, they worked!). However it is costly and you can buy water from Lawsons, Family mart or 7-11 which are around 500 m from the hotel.

For a business trip this hotel would suffice most. However I would look at other places if coming with family as the space is cramped, present in a business locality with limited food options outside.

Room Tip: Higher floor in new wing (Room 1051) had a good view from the window

Having spent a pleasant week in Tokyo, staying in a very small but comfortable room at the Tokyu Inn, we needed to use the laundry service on our last day. In the morning we dropped off our laundry and asked if we could pay upfront, to which we were told was not possible. Upon collecting our laundry we were footed a bill for around 21,000 yen (£123) for a few t-shirts and dresses. Whilst I completely understand it is our fault for not checking a price list, when I simply asked if that bill was correct, suddenly the man became incredibly rude and agitated, and started angrily and deliberately hitting the keys of his calculator with force, frowning at us and throwing it down on the desk like a child. Considering how polite and helpful everyone has been in Tokyo we found his behavior to be incredibly rude and not reminiscent of the general attitude of the city. We thanked him for checking again merely to be greeted with what can only be described as a 'dirty look' and no response. It may seem minor but being addressed like an idiot after essentially being completely ripped off sullied our view of this hotel.

Booked a double room for a very good deal but realized you really get what you pay for.

Room was really small, I assumed these were just the norm for business hotels in Tokyo. Didn't sleep well in a semi double bed, felt cramped. Would have been perfect for one person but not two.

Room was clean though and the hotel is in a very good location. Close to local shops, cafes and subway. Very convenient for traveling into Shibuya or other places in Tokyo. I suppose the room wouldn't matter too much if you were out everyday but I didn't look forward to resting in the room we were given.

Staff were really nice and helpful but probably will look for other hotels next time.

I had the pleasure of staying here with my parents from 27th February - 8th March 2014.

The staff were really friendly and when you give them a chance they go the extra mile to find out all information in English.

The rooms are very Asia city style. The bathrooms have everything you need so if you do forget your toothbrush, you're sorted.

The downside was the pillows are hard and towels are small. I loved the complimentary Kimono PJ's to wear.

The location is great. It's a 20 minute walk to Shimbashi station and only $7 AUD for a cab. The trains in Tokyo are fantastic and cheap.

I can't wait to return here one day soon.

Room Tip: Stay in the original block as it's more traditional and the beds are large.

We stayed here for 4 nights with kids, and found it a very nice on the whole. Rooms were cozy and very clean. I would certainly recommend it for any traveler coming to Tokyo for business or with family.
Nice Location - We found it to have a convenient access to several subway (options) systems (5 to 10 minutes walk). There are plenty of eateries all around. The hotel was comfortable, clean and quiet.
Staff was friendly, and English was spoken at the reception desk, never had an issue about that.

The location of the place is not perfect but not bad either. It is a minimum 7 minutes walk from any subway or JR station, but there are many options including shimbashi which has excellent connections including the JR Rapid to Narita.

The Hotel has a new wing and an old wing. Rooms apparently differ heavily regarding size, so it is wise to check what you get. I got one of the bigger twin rooms in the new wing which was pretty spacious even for European standards. The hotel website has an excellent English page that explains the different kinds of accommodation on offer. However the list on that page might be hard to map to the offers you find on agoda etc., as these sites use different terms, especially if it comes to translations. For me it worked out very well, there was more then enough space for our portable cot as well a lot of luggage.

Staff is really friendly and helpful, this is especially true for the team working in the restaurant where an affordable yet very good and diverse Japanese breakfast is served for 9 Euro.

Would highly recommend this place for these reasons!

We stayed in a double room, the deluxe room, and it was fantastic. The staff, from the front desk right through to the cleaning staff, were massively friendly and helpful. It was only about a mile walk from Shimbashi station but it was glorious weather for the two weeks we stayed there, so it was nice to be out soaking up every day Tokyo.

The room was well equipped for what we needed it for. As a place just to sleep it was great, I'd definitely go back there again :D
