We checked in late around midnight - The rooms are very small but i can get over that - it's Tokyo after all - however the constant humming noise is so loud that i was finding sleeping difficult - i called reception who sent up someone to see what the problem was - i showed him the problem - he said he could show me another room, it was Japanese style which meant those very slim mattresses on the floor, i get hip pain sleeping on them so i declined - i asked to speak to the Hotel Manager - i was told he wasn't around ... i told him i wasn't happy at all - he said he could try to locate another hotel for me as he said the hotel was completely full other-wise ( on a Wednesday in November ???) - i said it's 12.30 a.m - too late to be moving hotels - he offered a refund - which i understood to mean - i could leave the hotel now ( after all the trains had stopped) - i couldn't believe it - i simply had to return to my noisy room - now i kind of assumed either i would be offered a discounted rate when i checked out - bit NO - even tho' there was a clear humming noise noted by the night manager chap - they had the audacity to charge me the full rate with no mention of my complaint - my advice - very small rooms and loud humming noise - a.v.o.i.d. !!
