I was so glad to have paid a good bit more that the cost of a "Capsule" room. I got good rate on Orbitz and my room was as nice as the photos. Day time staff spoke english veary well and the night staff spoke well enoff. All got the job done "were helpfull" I could not find my @ key on the key pad in the room. he(night guy) showed me on his, it was rite there I just didn't see it. I hope to go again to Tokyo and Hotel Sunrout Akasaka. I had a great trip!
At the very heart of Tokyo you can not imagine a hotel as Sunroute Akasaka could exist. Reasonable price, Exceptional friendly speaking English staff, top location for Asakusa, Shinjuku, Roppongi. Large western style room with computer and Internet, bathroom big for Japanese standards. Perfect balanced breakfast.
Great place for one week business trip.
I stayed at the Hotel Sunroute Akasaka for 3 nights. The staff were very welcoming and spoke good english. The room seemed a little small at first but it was actually very comfortable. The bed seemed hard but had a great sleep every night.
The hotel is in a great location! So close to the train station and so close to hundreds of small, japanese restaurants and a few English/Irish bars. Akasaka is a good place to stay as its close to Tokyo Tower, Imperial Palace and it does not take long to get around Tokyo on the train from here.
Having the TV double as a computer was very handy as the TV is all in Japanese.
Overall was a great experience at this hotel and highly recommend it to first time travellers in Tokyo. Oh, and dont stress to much about the train network. At first its very confusing, but once you understand it its a piece of cake!!!
