We were not interested in any of the facilities at this location but wanted a roomy base for our trip with our teen-age granddaughter on her first trip to Japan. She explored Tokyo on her own and had a great time as did we . The condo is a great place to recover from the hassle of starting trip.
Had a wonderful stay , the apartment is in a brilliant location and is wonderfully clean and well equipped. We had already stayed in another accommodation in Tokyo so found the public transport easy to use. It is easy to get to other parts of the city from the apartment but there is plenty to see in the area. The veiws are outstanding and we enjoyed our time here.
We had a wonderful stay in this comfortable, spacious apartment in the Odaiba area of Tokyo. The building is very posh and the flat has great views. There is a well supplied kitchen and laundry, immaculate bathroom and separate toilet. Beds are comfortable and there is very little noise due to window double glazing. Downstairs is a supermarket and in the Odaiba malls nearby some good restaurants.
For robot fans, nearby is Miraikan (the Museum of Emerging Science & Innovation) where you can see Asimo in action, and there is a robot "help desk" woman at Aqua city that will talk to you. There are good transport connections to all the sights at Tokyo and the monorail is fun to catch, especially in the driverless front seat. You can get to Disneyland easily by taking the monorail in the opposite direction to Tokyo and changing to a train line at the last stop.
Travel tips- Hyperdia.com will show transport connections, and the awesome Google translate app will pick out and translate words from a photo. The lovely people at JR East travel service centre at Tokyo station can organise rail passes and book all your trips for you. For skiers, the Daimaru department store (which has an underground link from Tokyo station) has a good range of cold weather sports gear.
And of course, our favourite spots in Tokyo are Akasuka, the National Museum of Western Art, the tearoom at Hamu Riku Gardens and the nearby sushi restaurants at Tsukiji, the food halls of the Ginza department stores, and the beautiful Meiji Shrine in Yoyogi park... I want to go back...
This apartment is just what we needed. It sits slightly out of Tokyo centre on an island in the bay with amazing views, but access into the city is very easy as the subway stop is only a few minutes walk from the apartment and links to the main stations on the other subways. I can't fault the apartment, there is everything you could need. The beds were really comfy, the shower was great, everything was clean and spacious. We enjoyed going to the beach area just around the corner with a beach bar, an amazing place to relax and watch the lights on the restaurant boats on the bay in the evening. You won't find this sort of bar in the city centre. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the upper floors of big malls near the apartment ( Aquacity and Divercity) plus food malls in the basement if you prefer something quick and less formal. Most restaurants have English menus.
The subways are a bit confusing as they are run by different companies. The subway to the apartment is a private line from Shimbashi station and you have to pay separately from the main metro tickets, but buy a multiticket (option is in English on a button on the machine) and you can get 12 tickets for the price of 10. When you arrive, you can buy a metro pass at the desk for the buses in the main Narita airport, that covers the other two metro lines. We bought a 72 hour pass for 500 Yen that covered most lines (but not the JR train lines). They are valid from the first time you use them so if you have a week stay you can buy 2 sets of tickets. You can't buy these anywhere else in Tokyo at this price so well worth buying them at the airports. I think Haneda sell them too.
We loved our time in Tokyo, thank you Ian for all your help.
The condo is super nice and clean. The living room window overlooks the ferris wheel. There are two separate bedrooms and one toilet and one shower/tub. Great location, next to the train station and grocery store. Not much night life, but lots of great things to do in the day.
The location is amazing, its so handy for the train, shopping and site seeing. You can get around with know trubble at all. Its so well signed posted in Japanese and English. The apartment is very comfortable, roomy, clean with great views. The owner is a great host and nothing is too much trouble. Would highly recommend for two couples or a family with older children. Its got everything you won't.
The apartment was huge for Japan standards in comparison to booking a hotel room, value for money was exceptional. Location excellent, convenient to purchase groceries, Short walking distance to trains or taxi rank. Fully equipped kitchen and clean amenities.
Owner was always prompt with responses and able to assist with the few enquiries that we had, which made things easy for us as we did not speak Japanese.
