Close to Haneda airport with free shuttle buses. Very small rooms but is ok for a shorter stay. To go to central part of city use free shuttle bus and take the express Metro from International terminal. Takes around 40 min. Some small grossery stores nearby but that's it.

This is a very reasonable option as a layover hotel when departing from Haneda airport in Tokyo. Note that Hotels #1 and #2 are next to one and other, and I presume that #1 is similar. The on-line room rate was very good, and the access is very easy from the Otori train station on the Keikyu Train line into downtown Tokyo, for those comfortable enough to take the easy to use the Tokyo area train/metro system. When you exit the station at the East entrance (the front of the train coming from downtown Tokyo, or the back of the train coming from the airport terminals) the hotel is a short 100 foot walk, and there is an escalator from the platform to street level. The hotel is a typical Japanese business hotel with small rooms but adequate rooms for a one-night layover. The room was clean and the amenities were reasonable, as is typical of such places. The staff was friendly and the wifi is free. The one thing I would say is that the surrounding area, is pretty residential/business, and I don't know how accessible external restaurants are, because the hotel itself does not have one, so that might be an issue. The bed was very firm, but I got a good night's sleep. The room was quiet, even though I was right next to the elevator. The airport shuttle is free, but does not run all day. You can easily take the train from the terminals when the shuttle is not running. The breakfast is available in the lobby for any who want it. The hotel #2 has a basic western breakfast (bread, croissants, fruit, cereal, juice, tea and coffee) and hotel #1 has Japanese style breakfast. Guests in either hotel can have breakfast in either one, and that is independent of whether or not your reservation says "Breakfast Not Included." This is a very good safe choice for an overnight "crash-pad," but not a good base for a tourist visiting Tokyo.

We arrived into Haneda airport at 11:30pm, and went straight through customs without any trouble to make the last shuttle to the hotel at 12:15am. The ride was good, the hotel staff were friendly, the room was actually bigger than expected (we had the twin - comfy beds too) and the breakfast satisfying. In all, a good experience for a quick stopover.

Toyoko Inns are our first choice when traveling in Japan. This one, like all the others, is well-located if traveling by public transportation, clean and very reasonably priced. The rooms are quite small (but just fine, if you can be tidy) and the beds & pillows somewhat hard, but they still provide for a very comfortable stay. #1 and #2 are right beside each other, and one can choose either the Japanese breakfast offered in one or the Continental breakfast offered in the other. Free shuttle to/from airport is handy. Free use of computers in the lobby and coin-operated washer and dryer are pluses, as are the fridge & kettle in the room. Also, as in anywhere in Japan, convenience stores and eating options abound nearby.

Highly recommend this hotel for an overnight stay close to the airport. Very reasonably priced, clean, room size was fine (bigger than expected), free breaky and very friendly & helpful staff. Best of all, free shuttle bus provided between Haneda Airport & the hotel.
