“Under 14 football tournament....Outstanding stadium and surrounds”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

Easy to find.

Great trains and excellent taxis.

Clean fresh and tidy.

Great plants and shrubs and greenery around the stadiums.

Went for a international soccer tournament. Wonderfull international food festival at the same time.
2 small fields and one main stadium.

A 10 minute walk to restaurants and shops for lunch .

Tokyo weather in April May is rather like Melbourne........4 seasons in a day.

NSW boys team played teams from Tokyo, PRC, Jakarta, boca juniors, palmerias, Berlin, Moscow.

“Go for an event no the green spaces”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

In itself this park seems pretty impersonal. Built for the 1962 Olympics ... not the green open spaces for resting & relaxing. That said there are often events being held there to amuse you ..... today the Cinco de Mayo Mexican festival and by way of a coincidence the American football game between the Big Bears & the Unicorns. Got into both for free. Worth watching the locals who seem to love the place for jogging, tennis, skateboarding and many other sports. Seemed a little difficult to get to .. from Shibuya onto the Tokyo Denen Toshi Line to Komazawa Daigaku and then Park exit (Koen Guchi) to catch a No11 bus from outside Maruetsu Supermarket to the park. Sounds worse than it was but wouldn't recommend going there unless you had something specific to see.

“Run-down grey Olympic park”
Reviewed 4 October 2013

Let`s hope this center of the 60`s Olympics gets a revamp ahead of 2020 if they decide to use the space, as it reflects Japan in the 60`s, with very little work done to keep up it`s former glory.

Besides the biking and the jogging trail the best is the gym which accepts one time visitors for 500 yen or are card for 12 visits for 5000.

“Huge park, nice pedestrian walkways”
Reviewed 6 July 2013

Huge park, nice pedestrian walkways, in a quieter residential neighboorhood. A bit dated, with some parts closed (the swimming pool closed since earthquake years ago).
