just a bit of a background on what we actually did before arriving here:
that day we had done a lot of traveling, had been in Kyoto, and the plan was to head up to Tokyo, and stay there for the night, after going to Hiroshima, and Nara.
so we caught the Shinkansen from Kyoto station quite late, we arrived in Tokyo Central about 11:00pm-12:00am, and after being unable to find anywhere we decided we would head to this capsule in Shibuya, so we arrive in Shibuya, manage to find this capsule hotel, which was such a sigh of relief, as we had been traveling around all day, and as you could imagine were extremely tired, and sore, after lugging around heavy rucksacks.
so we walk in, they have room, thats awesome we thought, gave them our passports etc, then they saw my mates tattoo, and refused to let us in, as he had a tattoo, we were literally devastated, as this was our last resort, we had tried tons of places before, and after we got refused access here, it was the final blow, we were even trying love hotels and anything just to get a room, bare in mind we were two straight blokes.
at this time we were stuck in Shibuya, train station had closed for the night, so that night we ended up sleeping on the steps of the subway, with a bunch of homeless people. well i say slept was more like a 30 Minuit nap, as the station opened up again at like 3am or so. after that we heading to Shinjuku where we managed to find a manga cafe and slept there for a few hours.
