Very kind staff at reception, comfortably madras – clean functional typical Japanese toilet, very nice shower with good water pressure, and relay good shampoo, conditioner and soap.
Only one duvet to share in a double room, and even thought we asked, it was not possible to get two, I asked for a cover for the extra blanket, the following day the cleaning had taken the cover off and left the blanket on the bed – not very bright.

You can get massage at the hotel, 20 minutes for 2.000 JPY, that was excellent, and they were there until 1am every night, so good after a long day of sightseeing and shopping.

Do try to get a room away from the train tracks, to minimize the noise.
Breakfast is only until 9:30 – and they close sharp – so don’t be late.
If you do not leave your room by 10 am it will not be cleaned.
Stool besides the bed was very dusty underneath and lots of candy paper from a previous guest, had not been moved and vacuum cleaned for at least 2 weeks.

This was fine for the price paid, but not exactly excellent.

Room Tip: Do take time to get a massage. Try to get a room away from the train tracks.

For our first few nights in Japan we found that the Dormy Inn was in an excellent location in order to visit local Temples / shops / restaurants and to generally get stuck in with Japanese Culture. We originally were going to stay here for 2 nights but extended it and got upgraded to a queen room on the final night which was slightly more money but worth it as you got more space.

The heated loo seats were awesome! We miss them... :)

The staff were helpful and the highlight was the breakfast which felt a little like school dinners but the quality of food was good - do try the Japanese menu, it is tasty and pretty darn healthy (not sure I have ever considered soup for breakfast before!)

Overall a really good experience and would recommend.

So conveniently located between Shibuya and Harajuku, with lots of shops and eateries just up the road. Yes it is close to the railway lines but we did not hear a thing. Rooms were spotless (but tiny) with everything you need. You put in your breakfast order the day before - either western or japanese, and then there is also a small buffet you can choose from with bakery items etc. Free wifi which was a bonus for the kids. We requested two rooms next to each and that is exactly what we got. There is a pillow bar on the 2nd floor, but you need to get there by early afternoon if you want to try a different style of pillow. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is in an ideal location for Shibuya, Omotesando, Harajuku - all within easy 10-min walking distance.
Unfortunately I am a light sleeper and the close proximity to the local trains railway tracks disturbed my sleep BUT - if you can sleep with earplugs or do not care about noise - the hotel is wonderful!
Extremely clean room, very pleasant common bath onsen-style (of course separate for men/women), wifi in reception area.
Breakfast is nondescript, as in many medium-range hotels in Japan but that was not an issue for me.

Room Tip: Try the rooms on the opposite side of the railway tracks if possible

Great location. Small (clean) room, but enough space to lay down one suitcase on the floor (the other one you have to put on the bed, when you want to take something out) Just between JR lines Shibuya and Harajuku. I think it doesn’t matter where you get off. Breakfast really simple. (western style you still get Rice and yoghurt and soup) but It taste oke. The location is the most important thing here 10 min walk to the famous Shibuya crossing! Or about 10 min the cool Harajuku district.
