“Great location, amazing views”
Reviewed 24 May 2014 via mobile

A luxury hotel in a great location. We stayed in a corner suite, and could see Mt Fuji on a clear day. There wasn't free wifi, which for an expensive hotel in this day and age I think is bad. (We stayed at the Granbell, a much cheaper hotel later and the wifi was free).
But the staff are Exceptional and the hotel has everything you need. Ask for a room facing Fuji, it's worth it. Have a drink in the evening at the bar on the top level for an amazing view - but it's not that cheap.

We got a room in the 34th floor facing Shibuya station and the view was spectacular. The staff is really nice. The restaurants inside the hotel are really good. Great location. The bathroom also has a huge panoramic window with spectacular views.

Room Tip: You must ask for a room facing Shibuya metro station, the view is awesome.

The room itself was rather small, but well, considering the prices in Tokyo, it's acceptable. The overall quality of the facilities are very high. We arrived a little bit earlier than the check-in time and to be honest we expected to be shown into the room, but we were made to wait till exactly the check-in time. Very punctual and not very flexible (and very Japanese). Might have sounded ironic, but it's located within walking distance from the station and we enjoyed our stay here. This will be one of the options when we come back to Tokyo.

The Cerulean is in a great location, the service is excellent, and the rooms are spacious, clean and quite comfortable. The staff is plentiful and are 100% great at providing service. A large number of the main floor staff speaks English.

The Shibuya train station is nearby, access to taxis is easy and there are always some available, and buses to either airport are readily available. Haneda is a short 30-ish minute bus rid; Narita is estimated to be an hour, but even on weekends do not play it close. Traffic, road work etc. can easily make it an hour and a half drive and the airport is enormous so it takes a solid 20 minutes just to get to your gate once you are there.

The breakfast buffet is good. The choices are all there from warm Asian foods, omelets, fresh squeezed juice etc. It is not an inexpensive buffet by any means. The service in the restaurant is excellent.

Highly recommend the hotel for business travel!

Room Tip: The higher the better. Colleagues recommend the Executive level which I did not try.

We had a twin deluxe room on the 27th floor, with a great view, especially from the bathroom. The room was spacious, well appointed, and very comfortable. The concierge gave us some good restaurant recommendations within walking distance... sushi, yakitori, teppanyaki, shabu shabu & suki yaki. The bar on the 40th floor has a spectacular view, and was great for settling down with a drink and a cigar at the end of a tiring day.

Shibuya is buzzing with shops, restaurants, bars. The famed crossing is a great experience, masses of humanity moving in all directions, but in a very structured and disciplined way.. so different from the chaos of Mumbai! Shibuya station itself is very well connected with various JR lines as well as subway lines, so that you can get to most places in Tokyo directly or with just one change.

Room Tip: Get the deluxe rooms with the view from the bathrooms. The view is spectacular!

The location is the best. I could see the Shibuya station from the hotel room's window, no other 5 stars hotel in Shibuya could be closer to everything. The hotel is one of the tallest buildings in the area and the view I had was really amazing, over looking Shibuya and Yoyogi park and Shijuku.

Lovely people too, the check in staff and the lobby manager were very helpful with good english.

The room that we had was a bit aged and could needed a bit of renovation, but the size was good and the bathroom was excellent.

Overall, it is my first choice in Shibuya and its location is the best you can get.

Chose this hotel because of location close to main train station. Nearest train station Shibuya is only small walk away, carried our suitcases there which was not much trouble, elevators and walkways over the road with ramps made it much easier to access. Close to shopping malls and lots of restaurants around. Lovely views from room, beautiful marble bathrooms, only gripe no free internet. Great views from bar on top floors, worthwhile for a drink around sunset
