This is my third stay at this this hotel, and it seems the rooms just keep getting smaller. I know its Tokyo, but these are small rooms. I keep coming back because of the location, the best in the city I think. It is less than a 5 minute walk, all indoors to the Shibuya train station, and from there you can be anyplace in Tokyo in 30 minutes. And the area around the hotel is packed with things to do 24\7. Great restaurants and shopping, and the best people watching anywhere!

The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly and very helpful. The restaurant on the top floor serves a good breakfast, both western and Asian for a “reasonable” price. The amazing view is a great way to start any day.

I was taking shelter at this hotel exactly a year before, when that great earthquake struck. I wasn't a guest, but being a foreigner in a foreign land, I was simply hoping to gather more info bat the situation. I was with my elderly mom, and we were made to feel as comfortable as possible, given bed sheets, warm food and drinks . Some kind fellow- country men offered us a room by 3 am as they had decided to make their way to the airport to catch the earliest flight home.

We got to see and use their rooms first hand - very spacious compared to the usual shoe boxes associated with rooms in Tokyo. Beds are comfy and good shower too! Would choose to stay here again..

From our room we could look straight down and view the 'busiest crossing in the world', in a room which is bigger than the regular Tokyo shoebox-sized rooms. In the heart of the shopping district, you can find all the food and creature comforts of an modern urban metropolis. There is a mall just below the hotel, whose reception lobby is at the 5th floor.

Hachiko the storied dog's statue, a popular meeting place, is just a stone's throw away as are shopping centres for youth fashion such as Shibuya 109. All the major mega multi-story department stores are also a tiny walk away.

Bonus is that the airport limousine bus stops here making it VERY convenient if you do not have alternative transportation to Narita or Haneda airports.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the famous Shibuya crossing.

This was my second trip to Tokyo and I cannot comment on value for money as it was paid for by an arts association but I preferred the Hotel Century Southern Tower where I stayed last time. Thanks to Tripadvisor reviews, I knew to ask in advance for a quiet, non-smoking room with a safety deposit box and I was given a room on the 24th floor which had all these things although the hotel could not foresee workmen doing repairs under floodlight on a rooftop terrace opposite at 1am!!! My room was spacious but felt less so because of the busy patterns (all different) on the carpet, walls and furnishings. It could have accommodated an easy chair which would have been useful as I stayed for ten days and got fed up having to sit on the bed to watch the TV. The bathroom was quite small and smelled musty despite the front desk assuring me the extractor fan was working.I was also surprised that the bathroom did not have a high tec toilet. The furniture in the bedroom was surprisingly scruffy. I had to ask for extra towels and hangers (which were instantly supplied as the staff here are very helpful ). Breakfast was served on the 25th floor with great views of the city. There was a good selection of cold foods. The hot food selection was a little limited but the chef did make excellent bacon and eggs on request. The staff in the restaurant were exceptionally courteous and helpful and I was especially impressed by one waitress who, by the second day knew that I liked tea with milk and kept refilling my teacup. I didn't try room service as it looked quite pricey, especially when there are so many restaurants nearby, but I did have the in-room massage which was excellent and very reasonably priced. For those who don't carry a laptop, this is rentable for 1000 yen per day or there is rather cramped computer room where the charge is 100 yen per 10 minutes. All in all, if this was my first experience of Tokyo hotels I would recommend this one but for elegance and tranquillity I prefer Hotel Century Southern Tower.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 24th floor include safety deposit boxes and there is a computer terminal by the lifts w...

The entrance lobby of this hotel is actually located on the 5th Floor, by the escalator leading to the shopping arcade. The hotel is well connected to Shibuya station, particularly good on rainy days. Our room, on the 18/F, is of decent size (by Tokyo standard) and very clean. Will definitely stay again. One small note, the hotel only offers free high speed internet connection with LAN cable, but not wi-fi.

Overlooking the famed Shibuya pedestrian crossing and adjacent to the railway line, the Shibuya Excel in Mark City is positioned in a great location for a short stay in Tokyo. It's close to everything with a shopping arcade and restaurants within the hotel and department stores, Harajuku and Shinjinku districts closeby. The hotel restaurants on the 25th floor were a little pricey but there are plenty of dinner options locally that also afford great views. The staff were superb and the standard rooms were a little larger than you'd usually expect in Japan.

Room Tip: The higher the floor the better to get a glimpse of the Tokyo skyline, rooms closest to lifts will h...

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. I found the only pro was its location, no doubt , easy to get access to JR, but not thing more than that.
There was not one to welcome us when we arrived, neither bag boys to help with baggage. Quite weird~ Breakfast is on 22 floor in buffet style, again great view, but lacking variety. Last but not least,
no free in room WI-FI

Room Tip: high floor to get better view in Shibuya
