We stayed here for two nights in September, and highly recommend it to future travellers. It was a quick walk from Shinjuku station, which is a great jumping off point to the rest of Tokyo. We found the staff at the front desk to be very pleasant and they obliged us with help with directions and opening hours etc. The lobby looks fantastic and the room was certainly more humble in comparison, but it was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the robe, slippers and toiletries. The free wi fi in the room was a bonus. We'll be back.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights while I was in Japan.

Firstly, the location of the Hotel is excellent! It's about a 4 minute walk away from Shinjuku station, which is a huge central train station. There is also a lot of shopping places near-by like a big mall, which was just over the other side of the train station. If you take the Southern Terrace exit from the train station, keep walking towards the Starbucks and you can take a short-cut through to get the the Hotel..just go down the stairs on the right side next to one of the big buildings. There is also a McDonalds, Starbucks and other fast food restaurants really close by.

The Hotel itself is quite nice in the inside. I was pleasantly surprised. The lobby is really big and grand..you really wouldn't expect such a nice Hotel at such a reasonable price! The rooms are bit on the small side, which is common for Tokyo, but it has a TV, the bathroom is fine and it's nicely decorated as well. Everything was clean and well taken care of!

I had the buffet breakfast at the Hotel which was pretty good. It had a western food section and a japanese food section. It wasn't anything amazing, but I enjoyed the breakfast anyway and I would have it again. It makes it easy to have breakfast in the Hotel rather than worry about finding a place to eat.

The also have internet to use free of charge in the guest lounge. It's great to have this facility for free, but since they only had 2 computers when I was there you sometimes end up having to wait quite a while for it since no one really seems to care about the 20minute time limit..

The Hotel staff was also friendly, helpful, and spoke english. They stored my bags free of charge when I went to Kyoto for 2 nights.

This Hotel is great value for money and I would recommend this Hotel to any of my friends. It's clean, comfortable, has some good facilities and the location is absolutely fantastic!

Though rooms are small (and i guess this is no surprise when it comes to a densely populated city like Tokyo), it is amazingly clean and the layout of the room is good. Went there for a vacation and stayed 6 nights. The location of the hotel is superb as it is located within 5 mins walk from Shinjuku station. Despite so, u will not be disturbed by the noise from heavy traffic or crowd as it's located at a rather tranquil portion of Shinjuku. Hotel also provides complimentary internet access!!

Very modern hotel with all service expected in a western style hotel with big rooms.

Extremly well located in Shinjuku, just 5 minutes walking from Shinjuku station (if you use the right exit, of course).

Internet LAN in all rooms, the hotel provides you with a LAN cable to connect your laptop but NO wifi access in this hotel.

We chose this hotel for a six night stay in Tokyo. Booking was done online and a Japanese friend had said 'not bad'. On Japanese standards this hotel had it all from the time we arrived to the time we left. Efficient and friendly staff, restaurants for those who want to dine in, free internet lounge, free daily newspapers, a room full of amenities and so convenient to shopping malls, conveniences, post office and train stations. We had a queen size room which was cozy, but this is Japan. Well recommended and will stay here again.

Well appointed, good size for price, modern, clean and tidy and most of all perfect location to shops and the biggest train station in the world. We stayed at numerous hotels whilst in Tokyo from the Hilton Shinjuku to the Shibuya Tobu Hotel, they were nice but why pay double if not triple the price on a room you don't spend much time in. Instead spend it on yourself in one of the best shopping cities the world has to offer! At the end of our trip we discovered the Sunroute and wish we had found it earlier because it was such great value for what you get and its extremely convenient location.

Stayed 2 separate 2 night stays in late November -- great location and great, comfortable rooms, much larger than those available for comparable rates. Paid about US$135/night using early bird rate available (2 weeks) available through holidaycity.com and asiatravel.com (little more for the 1 Saturday night that we were there) for 2 twin beds. Easy access - Narita Express train from airport to Shinjuku station, then out the Southern Terrace exit. Walking towards, then past Starbucks, turn right at the Krispy Kreme (!), go down some public stairs, and you should see it across the street you either walk over or proceed down more stairs to get to (look for big white/purple lighted sign for the hotel).

Rooms had comfortable beds, fluffy duvets, super-clean bathrooms, and free internet (glad we brought our laptop as it was extremely helpful in google mapping restaurant recommendations and locations!). Location very convenient to Takashimaya Times Square (lots of shopping and restaurants here). I'd definitely stay here again!

Staff speaks adequate English. There's no concierge but reception staff is helpful for some requests (i.e., making dinner reservations) and giving simple directions.
