I enjoyed Kagurazaka's old world feel. It has a great mix of cuisine and the store that sells the oversized dumplings is in this area - tasty! Walking the narrow side streets you can picture the geishas making hurried small steps to their destinations. It's a pretty area with interesting stores that sell japanese sandals, kimonos, incense and handmade paper. It's a great escape from the typical tourist spots.

Lots of different flavours but with many traditional stores that sell handcrafted food and artifacts as well. Conveniently located between Lidabashi (E06) and Kagurazaka (T05) metro stations.

What a contrast to all the big shopping areas of Tokyo: by far my favorite. Loved the cobbled streets and mixture of French and Japanese restaurants and cafes. The boutiques were reasonably priced with a good selection of women's clothes.

A great place to visit on a Sunday afternoon when the main street is closed to traffic. As others have said, it's got a semi-european atmosphere with its many french patisseries, bistros and Italian trattoria's and a total contrast to the hub-bub of Shinjuku and Shibuya.

This is my favorite little town in Tokyo. There's a country feel in the middle of the big city. Little shop line the main street. Each specializing in their own delicacies. I love to just spend a day and hang out and roam the streets. Big contrast to Shinjuku and it's red light district. Also very different than the glitz of Akihabara.
