Shinjuku Prince Hotel

Location is excellent if you are a real shopper as the hotel is connected to shopping centre and shopping area. Room is not as spacious as others reviewed. Typical japanese room size. Wifi is stable and available in both rooms and lobby. The only con is that the airport transfer bus is 15-20 mins walk away thru very crowded streets.

Very clean, superbly well-located, but incredibly tiny. Wifi had to be paid per use but affordable. Although, most hotels have wifi for free. Service was efficient, the Japanese are very polite. The view was pretty epic as well, with the full-length window. It was hard for 2 people to maneuver around the minute room, especially with luggages, but the cleanliness made it liveable. Hotel is located in close proximity to Shinjuku Station and many eateries as well.

Room Tip: Higher floors have better views!

The hotel is located next to kakibucho area. From the JR station, you need to find the right exit (we exit from south gate, go straight before turning left, walk thru LUMINE, use the elevator to get down, cross the road in your left and walk all the way), or you'll spent a while to reach hotel. Room has no wardrobe and very small. On the position e note, you've no lack of eateries around the hotel.

This is the hotel to stay at for anyone looking for quick access to quintessential Tokyo. You are close to a number of serious attractions, shopping and transport routes.

This is Tokyo; space is limited so rooms are small but you certainly shouldn't hold this against the hotel. Rooms are clean, and if you are as lucky as us and get something on the 22nd floor you will have views that compete with some of the viewing decks in the city that you might pay for.

Download some movies before you go, the tv has only 1 English speaking channel and don't get excited about room service as it doesn't exist. To make up for this the free wi-fi in the room was fast and simple to access.

In terms of noise, you are right in the middle of things here-there is an enormous tv screen in the square outside the hotel as well as a train station that connects you to everywhere, so on the lower floors you may hear a little of this-but nothing a pair of earplugs can't fix!

This, in my opinion is the only place to stay in Tokyo!

Room Tip: There are 25 floors. Some smoking and others on-smoking, floor 25 is a restaurant. Aim high if you...

If you are looking for a place to be in Tokyo Shinjuku then this is the to be place! It is literally in walking distance of the entire main district of Shinjuku not to mention that the hotel itself has a mall too! Across the street from the hotel there are several shops, bars, Karoake, restaurants, shopping, adult shops, etc... so quite everything that you will be looking for... and yes it is true it is only a 5 min walk to the Shinjuku Transit Station!!! The only down side is that the room is a bit small... well very small.. but then again what hotel in japan doesn't have a small room lolz! Again we would highly recommend this place for those who are looking for a place to stay in the city for shopping, want to experience the busy Tokyo City, and need a place near the Transit stations. Oh one more thing the breakfast here is pretty good!

The Shinjuku Prince Hotel was a great landing pad for going all around Tokyo. The hotel is in a great spot in the city, close to many restaurants, shopping and nightlife. It is situated within a 5 minute walk of the Shinjuku JR Station which was extremely convenient for going to many different places in Tokyo as well as making the journey to Mt. Fuji, Kyoto and back to the Narita Airport.

The hotel was very presentable, the staff was welcoming and it was very clean. After reading that many hotel rooms in Japan are small, I found this one to be just right for my stay. Did not need anything bigger as a solo traveler. The bed was really big and very comfortable. The bathroom was compact but was also still perfect and it was very clean as well. You could not hear any noise from the outside, very well insulated. The attendants at the concierge desk helped with directions, suggestions for restaurants in the area and went above and beyond in helping me find a doctor nearby as I was coming down with an awful sore throat since he weather was very cold. They also spoke perfect English. Many thanks for that!!

It was easy to spot the building as it was tall and dark brown in color. Very helpful for finding your way around the many streets of Shinjuku.

Stayed here for nine nights with a friend. We had a twin room, which was really small but looked nice and clean and a nice city view. No minibar and no kettle, but there is a vending machine in the hallway on every floor, where you also can get hot water. There is a safe and a small fridge in the room, but the fridge wasn't really cold at all. No wifi in the rooms, but you can go online with a cable. The free wifi in the lobby only worked when the lobby wasn't packed with people using it.

I would recommend this hotel for young people that are traveling light, or don't mind stuffing their luggage under the bed.The location is great, close to Shinjuku station and attractions such as Golden Gai and the Restaurant Robot show. The concierge staff was very friendly and helpful.
