Considering Tokyo is a very expensive city and this hotel is centrally located (about 10 min walk to Shinjuku Station) I feel it's good value and have rated is 4 out of 5 using this criteria. The main issue is the tiny rooms - but you get what you pay for and considering I paid about 80 euros/night in central Tokyo I was ok with this. The only issue I had was that the walls are very thin and unfortunately my next door neighbour snored loudly. There is also no wardrobe or drawers for your clothes, just 3 hangers inside the door.
The staff are friendly of course (it's Japan!) and the hotel has an annex with at least 10 restaurants (Wstern, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Indian food). The airport bus to and from Narita and Haneda stops right in front of the hotel which is very convenient.More
