This hotel although is small is conveniently located next to higashi shinjuku station. Walk further down there is a korean food street.
Eateries and convenient store located nearby and 15 mins walk to Shinjuku Main station.

Location: Right above a subway station for 2 subway lines, so quite convenient especially if you're heading to Ikebukuro or Ginza.

Room size: Decent, and large by Japanese standards (2nd largest among 4 Japanese hotels on this trip.) Confortably fits 2 adults and 2 large suitcases.

TV Channels: limited if you're looking for American/English choices. Plenty of Japanese channels though.

Wifi: Be sure to get a room near the elavators. We had a room at the end of the hallway, and wifi reception was spotty at best. However, once you get connection or if you connect to the wired network (free cable avail in drawer), the speed is very impressive.

Views: Ok views even near the top floors. Keep in mind that the hotel only occupies the lower half of the highrise building. The top half is apartment rentals with a separate entrance (we found out from a subway ad), so don't come here expecting views of the Shinjuku skyline like they show on the official website.

Convenience: 7-11 and Lawson both nearby. McDonald's also nearby (but... why would you?) Korean district is a quick 5 minute walk away, otherwise the area is quite residential.

Bonus: Cute model train store nearby next to Lawsons. Definitely worth checking out if you're into Japanese train/subway models and toys.

Room Tip: If wifi is important, choose room close to elevators. Do not expect views, as the hotel only occupi...

Stayed here with my husband for 5 nights. Staff pleasant enough, English was minimal (but expect that in japan). Room tidy & clean but small, very little walking space. Wifi worked great. Breakfast was ok, I can't say I was eager to eat it each morning. Location great. Next door to station. We walked to the main area every time. It wasn't an overly massive walk, roughly 20minutes and we'd be in the main area of shinjuku.

This is my second stay with this hotel. The room is nice and clean and the location is unbeatable. It's right outside the Higashi-Shinjuku station. The central part of Shinjuku is a bit far but still within walking distance. People's complaint about this hotel is usually the small room size but this is Tokyo so get used to it otherwise just pay more and get a standard twin room. This hotel is my top pick every time I visit Tokyo.

Excellent location for station, shopping, bars and restaurants, and excellent value!! Rooms are reasonably sized and good value but quite simply it's the perfect location for all shinjuku has to offer

Stayed at this hotel which was very clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and can communicate in English.
You buy a coupon for 1,000 yen for the breakfast buffet. It wasn't something to write home about but it did fill me up for the day.
The rail station with two lines (Oedo and Fukutoshin is just outside making it easy to connect to anywhere in Tokyo with a minimum of transfers.
The rooms are typical Japanese small so you need to be disciplined in storing your items. They provide good directions for the limousine bus to either NRT or HND when you are ready to return home.
They also offer a laundry room which is good if you need to wash your clothes especially after a few days of hot/humid weather and you need fresh clothing but don't want to pack too much.
Made the trip to Tokyo fun!

Room Tip: I had room 707 which face the north.Sun didn't come into the room and wake me up in the morning...
