Stayed for 4 nights. Very well located in Asakusa, the rooms are clean and very large, even for western standards. Fantastic view on the upper floors. Bed was confortable, bathroom was neat and clean, with separate wc. One english speaking channel on tv.

Location of this hotel is really great !!! it's right in Asakusa and the view is impeccable!!! you can see the tokyo sky tree right in the comfort of your room and at night, the view is beautiful,,, don't miss the roof deck of the hotel as the view from the top is even more captivating, staff are great and speaks english.dining outside the hotel is better as many ramen shops are just located either in front or on he sides of the hotel... if ever you are in Asakusa, try out the Gate Hotel.. it's the perfect choice !!!

Fabulous location - lots going on outside. Rooms are good - I had a small one but just fine for me alone. Bed was comfy. Housekeepers were very good. Don't eat here though, Breakfast is a mad assemble of partially continental and dinner - there were roast potatoes and pasta! And the bread isn't toasted - which seemed to cause huge confusion (there's a Starbucks next door). Had dinner one night - it was bland & tasteless. Had to go to the supermarket next door to get ice-cream to make life a bit more exciting. It was a silly mistake there are loads of good restaurants right outside - I was on my own and thought this would be easier.

Go up to the terrace for the views - and go on the smokers deck - you can see Mount Fuji.

This was our final hotel in our 10 day travel around Tokyo and Kawaguchiko. I think this was the best of the 3 hotels.
Space utilisation is very good. We had 3 very comfortable beds in the room and one cannot complain about the location. 3 minutes from the Ginza line and the Sensoji temple entrance.
If I want to stay in Asakusa I will seriously consider staying here.

I stayed in The Gate Hotel from 1-5th Dec 2013, love the conveniences, and wonderful view from the our room (Tokyo Sky Tree view). I'd left my Camera charger in the room after check out. I wrote an email to the hotel after home. They replied me within 2 hours, and help me to Sent my charger back to Kuala Lumpur. I was really impressed by the services offered by The Gate Hotel, and would like to recommended this hotel to every traveler to Tokyo.

One of the latest hotels to dot the Tokyo skyline, The Gate Hotel is brand new and possesses all the trappings of a modern hotel. Location is another advantage with this hotel as it is close to Asakusa station. Likewise, the Kaminari-mon Gate, Hanayashiki Theme Park and Senso-ji Temple are close by. Other centers are easily reached by a short subway ride. If you get a good room, you could sight the Tokyo Ski Tree. The bar and restaurant is styled on French Cuisine. You can opt for the breakfast plan to partake of the sumptuous western breakfast buffet. Service is great and staff courteous. If you want to dine at the hotel I recommend a reservation early to get a good table on the terrace.

Modern and stylish hotel. Lobby located at the 13th floor just below the rooftop which has a nice terrace overlooking the area (notably the Sky Tree Tower) and a cozy bar for guests hotel only.

Rooms are neat, clean and well maintained. We stayed in the Style S Scenic twin room at 10th floor which had a good view. Very decent size, corner with coffee table and 2 comfortable chairs. Bathroom equipped with little shower and bathtub.
Nice and helpful staff (not all English fluent, surprising for such type of hotel but well not really a problem). Do not forget to ask for the wifi password as you will not find it written in the room (don't know why) and receptionist forgot to give it to us.

Hotel is well located near metro stations with express train to/from the airport. You can also find all the souvenirs you need in this area (at the market next to the hotel or in the many small streets around) such as Japanese knifes, kimonos, tea pots... Walking distance to the Sky Tree Tower.
