This is definitely a fun street especially if you want to do some discount shopping. The best part of the street was having lunch at this seafood place, where I had a form of sashimi. There are lots of restaurants and shops with something for everybody.

This is an interesting place to walk around. Lots of shopping and dining options, but we didn't really eat or shop inside. The vendors are loud, and can get intimidating. There was a particular alley that we keep on ending at, with really brash vendors (not Japanese). They really come up to you, look you in the eye and talk to you loudly which I dislike. We did eat at a noodle place nearby outside of Ameyoko.

Big market in Ueno area, there are so many shops selling shoes, souvenir, food, fresh food and fruits etc. Here is crowded, they are mix people from local and foriengers come to shop and walk.
We spent time more than 6 hours there!!! It's very interested for us and lots of things to see. I would recommend it.

We didnt really buy anything here, but just wondering around is quite fun. It does get busy at certain times though.

I think that this is as far away as you can get from the civil, whispering Japanese society as you can get in Tokyo. The vendors are loud and brash, laughing and talking loudly. The crowds are an exotic mix of peoples from everywhere. The shopping is wonderful, the food is amazing. I had a very good experience. This is a must-go.
