“Castle Manor is the most wonderful place in the world to stay in !!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 December 2010

If anyone wants to experience Bed and Breakfast or needs to find a real place to stay at, the Castle Manor is the place to be !!!

I have stayed there for two nights, with my wife and family, for a wedding. The owner, Mrs Sally P. Snook, has taken very good care of us from the moment we came in, to the moment we left her wonderful house.

My family and myself were also surprised by the rooms : well furnished, the beds were warm every evening when we came back.

Also, breakfast in the morning is served with everything one might need

I do recommend Castle Cary Manor !!

We travelled to Somerset to look for family history, we didn't find much of that but found Clanville Manor, which is central for part of Wiltshire too, the welcome was very warm the breakfast excellent, the bed extremely large & comfortable. Somerset a very interesting county with lots to see.

This pleasant Bed and Breakfast was booked by a friend and I have to say was such a wonderful surprise! The grounds were so nice, The rooms were cozy yet had all the amenities of a luxury hotel. Sally was so accomodating and the breakfast was superb! It's also a great central location for sightseeing.

My stay at Clanville was organised quickly and efficiently by Sally who sent excellent details of how to get there. I was welcomed on my arrival and my accommodation was excellent. Both Sally and Rob were very friendly and took time to talk about the area, helping me decide where to go. Sally's breakfasts were also excellent. There was a lot of variety and they were freshly cooked using local ingredients. I had a lovely restful week at Clanville and would recommend it highly.

We received details of location and advice on the best way to get there. We indicated our expected time of arrival, but for unavoidable circumstances we got delayed. We received text from the owner wanting to know if we got lost so that she could help. We received a very warm welcome including hot drinks and food on arrival. We were upgraded to a superb 4 poster bedroom at no extra cost. Breakfasts were excellent. We could not have asked for anything more. We plan to return there soon.

Clanville Manor is so worth it's Gold Award and I would give it 5 Stars. From the very warm welcome that Sally gave us with a delicious cake and tea, to the spacious bedroom and 6ft superbly comfortable bed. Fantastic breakfast, superb selection of fresh fruit to an amazing full english which my Husband loved ! Sally's attention to detail is spot on, she even provides a bed turndown service, how thoughtful is that. We so enjoyed our stay at Clanville Manor and have already booked again for August 2011.

Stayed for 2 nights in August and had an excellent stay. Comfortable and clean bedroom, excellent breakfast with great choice and a heated outdoor pool as well. Will certainly return when we are back in the area.
