It's easy to drive past the hotel as there is no large sign by the car park and the sat nav stopped around the corner. Once inside the hotel is nicely decorated and staff are friendly. We arrived early and the room was not ready so we went to the bar for lunch. Great view of the sea from the terrace but we ate inside as thought the food would go cold quickly if outside. Can recommend the fish and chips. Room was small but had everything needed for an overnight stay. As others have said it was a little hot but we opened the windows. Plenty of bath supplies but the loo roll holder stand was a bit wobbly and not easy to use! breakfast is fresh cooked to order therefore a little wait for it to arrive but when it did it was one of the best we have had. Plenty of toast too.

wasn't expecting too much from the cliff hotel, we were staying on a wowcher offer, but was extremely impressed. Staff were friendly and helpful, and room was very well appointed, with the biggest bed I've ever slept in. Very comfortable too. High quality bedding, nicely designed bathroom, and good TV with plenty of channels. Room was perhaps a little hot, but otherwise 10/10. Afternoon tea, evening meal and breakfast were all faultless and made exactly to order. Atmosphere was spot on too. Not too informal, but not to stuffy either. Thanks very much. Will definitely return and recommend.

We celebrated my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary at the Cliff as a surprise. It was a small events but we were treated as important as a major one. The team at the Cliff were fantastic. All the details that we asked for were perfect, buffet was incredible, the staff on the evening were so accommodating and all in all my parents and their guests had an amazing evening. Would highly recommend the Cliff for any function, large or small.

This was booked by mother for my husbands birthday for 4 adults through Wowcher. The main reason was I had never experienced Cromer Crab and this deal seemed too good to be true and I am always a bit apprehensive with these deals as you never know what you are going to get but I can honestly say it was not too good to be true - it was amazing! We had two sea facing rooms next to each other. The room was stunning with every possible facility! The restaurant was out of this world. We received complimentary Afternoon Tea on the day we arrived, I can say the Scones were truly amazing served with jam and clotted cream. I make scones myself regularly but mine certainly were not a patch on these! The breakfast was huge, a vast choice of cereal, fruit, yoghurts, juice, toast, porridge, croissants, full English or a great selection of fish breakfasts (smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, haddock with poached eggs, kippers etc) with plenty of tea and coffee. The view, the staff and the whole experience has left us wanting more and we will definitely return for a weekend break in the future. 10 out of 10, well done guys :)

Hotel having refurbishment done, looking really good. Reception neat and tidy. Rooms are lovely and clean with everything provided for your bath/shower needs. Brilliant designed bar, lovely bar furniture provided on Bar Veranda with great views of the sea. Food of high standard for both breakfast and bar meals. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Would highly recommend to all.

The hotel refurbishment is paying dividends. The room which I stayed in this time was of a much higher standard, having been beautifully refurbished. The beds are comfy, wifi access was good, great bathroom/shower and toiletries and the food in the restaurant was really excellent - highly recommended!

My only suggestion for improvement would be a slightly more enthusiastic welcome on arrival and a "we hope you enjoy your stay"... that said the reception was being renovated and perhaps this hindered the usual efficiency and friendliness.

All in all a good stay and we will be back
