The chef here could teach the French how to cook, and he's Japanese! You would expect to pay 3 times the price for this quality (especially in Tokyo), just top-notch amazing food, a lovely atmosphere, great service, superb selection of wines, faultless.
Pate de Campagne
Some kind of olives dish (the name of which escapes me)
Beef in red wine with mash (melted in the mouth, delicious)
Monkfish cooked to perfection
With a salad of lettuce, peppers, fennel, etc. (not the usual tomato and cucumber garbage)
Side order of Potatoes Dauphinoise
Dessert (just me) Creme Brulee
Half bottle of decent Bergerac, very nice, good AC.
Fantastic value at 10,000 yen (£65)
Definitely one of the best (if not the best) dinners ever. Even on a Tuesday night, we were lucky not to have to wait long for a table, but I'd queue up all night for this place!
