First, the review by Koyangie in mid July is quite good and sums things up. So this is more of a personal reflection and a couple extra details. We got here by train, first to shinagawa then by the local train one stop away to kitashinagawa. The walking bridge crosses the street, head right & up a block or so and you're there. No long waits for shuttles if you're willing to take a brief walk.

The hotel is much bigger than the local standard bed in a closet room. More to a western standard. We're platinum for now so check-in was in the executive lounge. Excellent English all around. The lounge has plenty of alcohol if that's your thing in the evening. The finger foods were pretty good. The rest are snacks in small glass jars. I do think the lounge is an after-thought. It would be nicer if it was on a high floor with a view instead of a windowless room and a single tv. Service was excellent and attentive, though.

The rooms are fine and summed up elsewhere. Breakfast has a bit of the standard western and local Japanese + Vietnamese fare. It was average. They bring omlets to you which delays things a little. And they do guard the coffee a bit much, considering how bitter it is.

One nice surprise is the large walkable garden adjacent to the building. There was a local food / beer fair going on which was fun. And if you don't want a fancy dinner there's the family mart at the bottom of the stairs with snacks and some quick noodles.

Big picture: Good hotel, reasonable price, excellent service, and an easy train ride from downtown. Improvements can come from the executive lounge, breakfast service, and maybe a chocolate with turndown service :)

We stayed here for five nights on a business trip. The staff and facility is a fine example of why we enjoy our overnights at Marriott Hotels. We were always greeted with smiles and eager helpfulness. There was a short walk to a large train station for us to explore Tokyo in our free time.

Room Tip: I am always happy with the top floors as I was here.

I stayed here for a meeting and the meeting space is large (unusual for Tokyo) and very clean. The hotel rooms are large and appear to have been recently updated so they do reflect a Marriott theme which is good if you are a frequent traveler as myself. They offer an executive lounge on the first floor with evening cocktail hour and snacks and drinks available most of the day. The buffet breakfast in the lobby lounge restaurant is excellent with large selection of made to order eggs, oatmeal, fruits, etc... I found the staff very friendly and helpful. This hotel is set in a quiet setting near the Shinagawa train station, this train station is very large and can be quite confusing for first time visitors. If there is a drawback it would be the location from easy subway access to Roppongi and Ginza areas frequently visited, I suggest taxi which is about 20 minute ride. Overall I would say great for business stay.

I tried most of the Shinagawa hotels. Apart Sakura Tower, this one is the best and even less expensive. Shuttle to station is free (5 minutes). The lobby is far to be impressive but the rooms are modern and very comfortable. Special congrats on the bathroom amenities. Decoration could be still a bit joyful.
The breakfast is excellent although not much choice. Really enjoyed it, especially for a foreigner in Japan. I would go back.

Hotel is overall OK, relatively new and within quiet location. It is near Shinagawa subway and rail station. Plus: There is an airport shuttle to / from the hotel costs around US$30, takes one hour. This is convenient, specially if you have suitcases. All facilities in good working condition, clean, and well-maintained. Regular shuttle bus, about 3 every hour to and back from Shinagawa station. Japanese restaurant on the ground floor has excellent service from graceful ladies dressed in traditional kimono. Although relatively new to Japanese cuisine, we thoroughly enjoyed the set meals. Convenience store in same building complex. Buffet breakfast has good selection of fruit, usual continental breakfast fare, egg station is fine. Wifi throughout hotel. Our package included wifi, seemed it may be an extra option. What you will not find / may not like: rooms are small. Gym is not within hotel but available within complex and costs around $21. I did not try and was disappointed that there was an additional fee. No restaurants or stores within vicinity of hotel, you will need to take shuttle to Shinagawa.

It's a nice hotel. Rooms are small and it's clean. It's not very English speaking friendly- no English tv. Not really anything in walking distance. The staff is very friendly and went above and beyond. The Japanese restaurant is great. We had tempura and the lunch restaurant very good too.

The rooms are expensive and very small. The restarting attached for breakfast is poor quality. The rooms and hotel is reasonably new but much like many other hotels in Japan the rooms are tiny. The library bar is open late but limited selections and I atmosphere. Not much point having a bar in the lobby located where everyone sits with no atmosphere. Overall ordinary hotel and I personally expect so much more from Marriott Hotels
