“Relaxing fab location”
Reviewed 29 March 2017 for a stay in April 2016

Stayed here some time ago and hoping to come back. So chilled great for kids and fab location with so many attractions just a short drive away. Lovely stay and accommodation.

“WONDERFUL COTTAGE”
Reviewed 24 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We were looking for a short break in France in an area that we hadn't visited for a little while. We certainly chose the right cottage. When you go down the short drive you see the cottage exactly as you see it in the website.
We were met by Jason, who gave us a short tour of the cottage and grounds and also showed us the very inviting welcome pack of French products.
We quickly settled in and enjoyed a very relaxing holiday doing very little, with the odd trip to the local attractions.
This is one of the best cottages that we have stayed in and recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday.

“Moulin de la Combe, a great place to stay to hop off the world for a while!”
Reviewed 19 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We stayed for 2 weeks in early September and it was just the break we were looking for. There is plenty to keep you occupied for a couple of weeks if that is what you would like but there were also plenty of places to stop and enjoy the lovely setting of this tranquil place. Injury prevented too much walking but we enjoyed the pool, the streams, the pond, the snooker table and we even got used to the stream running through the kitchen! We would suggest that if there are any alterations to be made, the new dining/seating area is also fitted with the kitchen as there was not enough room in the kitchen for more than 2 adults.
Jason was very helpful whenever we asked any questions.

Hi Katy
Thank you for your kind comments and glad you enjoyed your holiday ! We understand that the kitchen in the old mill race is not the most practical in the world! It's the price to pay for originality and do try and make up for this in other areas ! Marie-Laure says it's ideal for the modern man, prepare food whilst fishing, wine to hand on the wine rack and no females under foot :-)

Best wishes Jason,Marie-Laure & family

“A beautiful property with stunning grounds. Paradise”
Reviewed 12 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Really helpful and friendly owners. We received a very nice hamper and fresh flowers when we arrived. The property is quite querky and its history is fascinating. The owners have made it a really lovely place to sit and relax. The wild life in the garden was fantastic, including red squirrels and eels swimming into the kitchen. There are lots of activities at the property including bikes, swimming pool, table tennis etc. Loads to do in and around the area. A very pretty little corner of France.

“Beautiful property - friendly owners - perfect stay”

Stayed at the restored water mill in May and the weather was kind to us making the whole trip very enjoyable. The property is down a lovely leafy lane in its own grounds and very imposing. The family are really welcoming and knowledgable about the area and recommended some great days out. Isle De Re is an absolute must! Overall, the accommodation, location and holiday was first class - highly recommended!
