The holiday home is really spacious and nice, with an ample garden and off-road parking. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a large supermarket five minutes drive away. We had access to reasonably fast wifi internet, the main bedroom is very large and although we didn't make us of it there is a functioning fire place.
I can't really fault our hosts, they were friendly and helpful although we only spoke to them very briefly.
The only fault I can mention is the location, this destination is only really suited to someone coming by car, due to the distance from most tourist attractions (there isn't really much to see in the town itself apart from the church in the main square) and the lack of public transport. Main attractions located in towns and cities such as Le Mans, Tours and Amboise will basically require a road trip that will take most if not all of the day.
If you don't mind driving this is an ideal budget location if you wish to visit a variety of castles, museums and other attractions dotted around the area.
It is however a really quiet rural town, so it's good if you want a quiet countryside getaway but you must bear in mind it is basically dead in the evenings and there nothing to do in the town itself.
If you want somewhere where there is something to do in the evening I would recommend spending a bit more to stay in a bigger town. However if that's not what you're looking for the property is a real bargain.
