“Wonderful hotel in a beatiful place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 August 2013

The hotel is located in a countryside and there are no other buildings in the neighbourhood. We were staying 2 nights in "the Elisabeth flag shelters" and enjoyed a lot. There are no restaurants of bars in a walking distance.

Breakfast was served so there is no buffet available. However if you are in a place like this you appreciate that you are served and do not have self service.

We had a beatiful room with modern and nice bathroom. All made with good taste.

We stayed at the Chateau for 2 nights this week and had a superb stay. We stayed in the Henri room which was spacious and luxurious. The chateau is a fabulous combination of classical French style with contemporary boutique type bathrooms and facilities. We ate in the restaurant and chose the €50 gourmand menu which was 4 courses plus matching wine and champagne it was truly outstanding and worth every penny. The service throughout our stay was faultless and really welcoming. If you are in the area we would highly recommend staying here.

Room Tip: Stay in the chateau rather than the pavilion, it's worth the extra money

Awesome, out of this world, an experience i cant wait to repeat.
Chateau d'apigne is well worth a visit, i hesitated sharing it with you as i would hate it to become so popular that i couldnt get in.
beautifully appointed rooms, of the era, but with very modern bathrooms that are set in the round turrets, ours had a fantastic double hydrobath with colour changing lights.
There was a group of 6 of us staying, and thoughtfully the hotel set up a private dining room for us, if you go select the tasting menu with matching wines

Room Tip: make sure you ask for a room in the chateau not the annex

We travel to Rennes often and this is our new home away from home. You will need a car to go to Rennes and the beautiful surrounding towns and villages. Don't miss St. Malo, Mt. Dol, Dinan to name a few. Our stay at the Chateau was wonderful-we think we had the largest room in the Chateau. The Chateau is out in the country side and is in fairy tale surroundings with a lovely park. Excellent stay!!

My wife and I chose Château d'apigné to host our wedding in May 2012 and it was the most perfect place ever! Hidden in the countryside outside Rennes in Le Rheu is this stunning chateau from the 1800's.

The director Monsieur Collet is very professional and will help you arrange your perfect day in any way he can. We had a beautiful, relaxing English ceremony (following our French legal ceremony in Rennes), outside on the lawn in front of the beautiful château building itself.

The reception was held in one of the annexe buildings adjacent to the château and we were allowed to decorate and design the room as we liked. The reception staff led by Stephane were incredibly professional and offered the highest standard of service and the food and wine was superb.

As we booked the majority of the rooms, we had the chateau to ourselves.
The chateau rooms are 5 star luxury with gorgeous period features mixed with tasteful decor and modern touches, like in the bathroom; which are in the towers of the chateau. There are 8 rooms, each unique and with their own special features. Some with showers, some with baths but all very large and luxurious. There is also another 8 rooms in an annexe which although a modern building are very nice too.

The rooms are quite expensive but worth it and breakfast is a very nice continental offering and maybe a little on the pricey side.

You would not regret any celebration here, or just stay one night if you are in the area and want to splash out one evening. There is a gastronomic restaurant in the chateau too.

Room Tip: Choose the biggest! But hey, ask to see them all - they are all stunning!

It was not so easy to find the way even with a GPS using only street names.
The little Chateau is charming with only a few rooms in the main building
and some in the garden pavillon. We were booked to the garden pavillon but were
upgraded into a room in the Chateau. The style brings you into old ages with spacious
rooms and a friendly service and a good food in the restaurant. For the breakfast
served on the table you felt like an old time master of the place.
This winter charm must be even increased when nature is kindlier in other times of the year

Excellent service, friendly staff, good food! This charming place is about 15 minutes from Rennes center and both accommodation and food were worth every cent.
