After spending a week here in 2013 we decided that we would do 10 days this year ( I must add that this is the first time in over 30 years that we have done the same place twice). We were not disappointed, we travelled as a group of 3 couples and stayed in the annexe, the rooms were ideal and of a good size ,the pool was extremely tranquil as the pool at the main building was preferred by families with children (mainly late afternoon).
The facilities at the hotel are very good and the restaurant is of a very high quality. The staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to assist, one of the staff (Rabbi) even recognised me and greeted me like an old friend which when you consider how many people the staff deal with and meet in a year is incredible.Miranda always showed an interest in finding out what we had been doing during the day and would go the extra mile for us to ensure we enjoyed our stay.
We find the hotel an ideal base to explore the island from and after the hustle and bustle of the resorts you have somewhere tranquil to just chillax at.
We found it quite hilarious watching the deer winding up and chasing the geese.
To sum up, this is a paradise.

Room Tip: Try not to get a 3rd floor room in the main building as they have small windows, the annexed rooms ha...

Wonderful hotel, full of old world charm. We were a party of six aged from 16 to 83 and the hotel ticked all the boxes. The hotel were thoughtful about the way they organised our rooms which was much appreciated. The rooms in the main hotel are to be recommended - the annex rooms don't seem as big as they look in photos.
All areas of the hotel and grounds are well maintained and kept very clean.
The pool complex is heavenly ...... The photos here simply do not do it justice. There are welcome shaded areas as well as terraces with full-on sunshine. It was delightful watching smaller children gain confidence in swimming in the graded heights of the pools. The poolside waiter service was very good and guests were respectful towards each other .... It's that sort of hotel. The hotel was full during our stay but did not feel crowded.
Wifi is a bit hit and miss and not reliable enough to work with, but we were on holiday so not a problem for us.
The food is amazing, with the exception of the chips on the children's menu which were very oily. We were on a B and B tariff as had intended to hire a car and explore the area but in the end we abandoned the car idea, stayed put and hired bikes on a couple of days instead. We ate in the hotel every night as we could not imagine finding anywhere better. The food is Mallorcan with a twist and the portions were huge ..... two starters (instead of a starter and a main) were perfectly filling. There were specials every day and although we spent a week here I don't think I would have got tired of the menu if we had stayed a month. The waiters and waitress were charming, hardworking and helpful but busy, so meals took a while to serve, however this gave us plenty of time to enjoy the stunning views from the large restaurant terrace. We had one evening down at the annex for the barbecue which was enjoyable .... The cuttlefish were enormous!
Breakfast was fresh and delicious with plenty of choice.
A visit to the unspoilt village of Campanet was easily arranged with Pedro the taxi man through the hotel and the cost was just under ten euros one way.
The grounds are worth exploring. There are all sorts of agricultural artefacts dotted around and the small open aired classroom in the grounds made a perfect shaded artist studio for my father while he painted a picture of the the finca through the arches.
We had a totally relaxing holiday and will return to this very special hotel.

Country house feel with perfect service from pool bar to reception to restaurant. Lovely grounds. Accommodation is between main manor and converted rural house about 200 yards from the main complex. Stayed in the manor but walked down to the other, looked quiet, attractive and relaxing. Other reviewers have commented on stuffy rooms. The room was very warm and the air con didn't seem to achieve much, but to be fair it was seriously hot outside. Food Good quality and good value for money either from half board menu or full menu, and you can mix and match. Pool bar very reasonable and lunches there excellent quality. Stay here if you have a car or if you just want to chill out, hang about and wonder about. Cycling wise it's on a main quiet cycle route and the hotel has its own bike hire of full range quality bikes. They can also hire in any bike. This place would compare comfortably with a four star plus small country house hotel in UK. Without pretentious prices. It's not cheap but you wouldn't expect it to be. It is however reasonably priced, fair price for the excellent standard.

We stayed for three nights in this beautiful place and enjoyed it a lot. When we arrived - around midnight - the restaurant kitchen prepared some spanish tapas for us at short notice and although the kitchen had closed since 11pm. All staff was very nice and helpful, attentive in every minute. We ate dinner one night at the place - enjoyed the bbq which they offer in the associated guesthouse which is located 10 minutes walking distance. The room was beautifully furnished (ancient furnture) and the bathroom beautiful too.

Myself and my daughter are just back from a three night stay here. The comments made by the previous guest are accurate. The only thing I would add is that it's a fantastic place for a short getaway in the hills but anyone wishing to stay longer would benefit from hiring a car. Another thing, is that no water is provided, except at breakfast, so we had to purchase small bottles of water, at €2.40 each. The hotel does not stock large bottles of water. Although we spent quite a lot of Euros on water, it would have cost a lot more to hire a car, or even the bikes, just to stock up on water. We had a fabulous room, the food was great and the Rose' gorgeous at around €13. Previous comments on the hotel include remarks about the lack of tea/coffee, in the rooms and that would have been useful. The brochure states that tea and coffee is available in reception but we saw no evidence of it. All in all, a fantastic relaxing hotel, with a great chef, surrounded by hills and countryside. We would definitely go back.

Room Tip: We were in room 109 on the top (second) floor which was lovely and overlooked the pool area. If you...

North Mallorca is a study in contrasts. The charming town of Pollenca is a total tourist trap, with its beautiful square losing more square footage every year to the encroaching cafes and restaurants. Further back towards the interior is Campanet, a hillside village where tourists are as rare as hen’s teeth. Driving out from the centre of Campanet is practically impossible without Google Maps to guide you through the maze. So if you land in Hotel Monnaber Nou for a few nights, which is about two kilometres from Campanet, be prepared to settle in and make the most of what’s there.

Monnaber Nou is a big old country estate house converted for tourism. There’s a very long drive up to the house, which is carved into a hillside. The old house has hotel rooms but our party of three (two adults, one teenager) opted for the self-catering apartments that have been built in a long terrace at the back of the hotel. The design is good, and the apts don’t feel disconnected from the main house.

Our apartment had a pleasant outside terrace, living room/kitchenette, bathroom with a great shower, and two bedrooms. As the building was dug out of the hill, it was all a bit dark, but that didn’t matter so much as you’re really only in the apartment to sleep.

The main feature of the rambling old house is a big dining room that leads onto an equally large terrace. This is where breakfast and dinner dining takes place and the food was very good. The views from the terrace are great and the service was good too.

Monnaber Nou’s main attraction is the elaborate pool area. There’s a big pool with smaller pools attached, plus gushing water and whirlpools. For the off-season, there’s an interior pool too, with jacuzzi and well-equipped gym. Guests who didn’t want to lounge around the pool pulled their chairs into the garden leading down from the house.

There’s a bike rental facility on site, and if cycling is your thing the roads are a lot quieter and safer than around Pollenca.

We stayed two nights in Monnaber Nou, which was long enough, though I could see the merits of the place for couples who just wanted time to themselves. The clientele was mostly German or Nordic.
