Immaculate house with top notch fixtures and fittings. Great for our family holiday away with the kids and the dogs. Games room great set up to keep the kid entertained while the adults chill in the nearby living room. relaxed dining area in day room or if you have the weather (which we did) large garden to relax in. Local pubs great and everyone in village very friendly. Owner Barbara very quick to come back to you and her lemon drizzle cake was to die for :-).... Kielder Forest and Water 30 mins in car through stunning countryside - great place to go. 10 minutes walk from the house is Rock UK activity centre - all of the staff there were great and the prices very reasonable. All in all a fantastic holiday and would definitely recommend a visit..
Great location for a family get togther.
The house has everyhting (wven a cake mixer!).
Fantastic owners, on hand if needed (even had our dog for the day whilst we went to Edinburgh).
Hghly recommend Rock UK (10 min walk), great local activity centre, made the stay perfect for the kids.

Beautiful house which was ideal for our party, he everything we needed and more.
Village very welcoming and friendly to! Highly recommended
Stayed here with my family, husband two teenagers, our little whippet and the in laws. Seven of us all together.
I just don`t know where to start......
The first thing I will say is how clean it was, I don`t mean just normal clean, I mean super attention to detail clean. Really must say a huge well done to the cleaning team, as they do an amazing job,as the house is HUGE!
The other thing that stood out for us , was all the extra little things. Toiletries, lots of lovely thick towels, that smell glorious! Tea and coffee, sugar, cleaning items, too many to mention but we really appreciated all the little extras.
Loved the Sonos sound system too, might be getting one of those!
The house is wonderful, easily accommodating all of us and lots of space to spare.
WI FI is good, important if you have teenagers!
The village itself is quiet but everyone is so friendly and the house is staggering distance to two pubs. Our favorite was The Grapes, really nice family run it and good food served, they also do takeaways.
If you want to just go away and stay put in a house for a complete rest, I would highly recommend, as Dalkeith House is so wonderful, you don`t really need to go outside.
Not one negative thing to say. If I could give it six, or more, stars, i would.
