“Great house”
Reviewed 5 November 2017 for a stay in October 2017

Had a Hamilton family gathering here for 8, with our 2 dogs. Fabulous house, everything you need and more. Luxury, comfort and loads of space for everyone. Great meal from the Local restaurant served at the house. Local people were all very friendly and helpful. The home made cake from Barbara was a lovely start to a great week here, and the butchers steak pie is second to none. Thanks to all.

“Girls weekend away”
Reviewed 15 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

My friends and I stayed in Dalkeith House for the weekend. It's a beautiful house with all home comforts and more!! The rooms are all beautifully decorated and immaculate. The garden is a hidden gem. We were lucky that we were able to sit outside in the sun on the Saturday afternoon sipping our G&T !!! Beautiful woodland walk close to the house to enjoy as well. We will return!!!

Thank you, girls delighted the sun shone for you as the garden is gorgeous. It has not been described as a hidden gem before but it will be again as I will pinch that line off you for our marketing! Hope we see you all again. Best wishes B

“Beautiful, spacious, elegant house”
Reviewed 3 October 2017 for a stay in September 2017

Situated in the center of the village close to all amenities. This spacious house was great for our family get together and celebrations (9 adults, 1 infant and 2 dogs). It was so comfortable and relaxing and everything was provided. The sun even shone long enough for us to sit in the glorious garden.
Copshaw Kitchen cooked a superb dinner for us on the Saturday night and we didn't even have to wash up afterwards! We would recommend Dalkeith House for any celebration break.

“Perfect in every way”
Reviewed 1 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Wonderful location in a super village with everything you need day to day. The house is beautiful and quite elegant but at the same time time homely and comfortable. Plenty of room for our family group (9 + dog). If you like the outdoors there are beautiful walks on the doorstep and lots of activities available close by. Charming little museum and heritage centre crammed with interesting facts and exhibits from the village. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, we felt very welcome in the shops, pubs and restaurants. Particular mention must be made of the Copshaw Kitchen - superb! Would not hesitate to recommend Dalkeith House to anyone.

“Luxurious break in peaceful setting”
Reviewed 28 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Absolutely beautiful house, very tastefully decorated in a peaceful village, ideal for our short break. The house is spacious and there is something for everyone. We had three generations and every bit of the house was appreciated, from the games room with its modern decor to the formal dining room with all the extra trimmings to the beautiful garden for some peace.
Everything was thought for, there really was nothing more we needed either in the kitchen or bathrooms.
Loved the little touches like soaps and shampoos etc which gave it that extra touch.
Their was a good stock ofbooks and games for when you want to stay in too.
The neighbours i found were very welcoming and the village had a spar and a costcutterwhere you could get most things you may need.
Barbara was there on arrival and gave us pointers which helped us plan our stay.
All in all a great place for a break/get together and highly recommend.

“Fabulous place to stay for a family break/get together !!!”
Reviewed 26 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Just had ANOTHER family break/get together. House is superb with loads of space, very tastefully finished to a high standard. Super location for a get together as we came from several locations in Scotland and from Dubai. Such a warm friendly welcome and loads of facilities in village and surrounding areas. Recommend Copshaw Cafe (there or cater in Dalkeith House), Grapes Hotel, The Deli and for the more adventurous Rock UK. The 300m Zipwire experienced by ages from 6 - 78 !
Can't recommend Dalkeith House highly enough - faultless !

This house is in a wonderful village with superb amenities and very friendly people! We were celebrating a special occasion and the house had everything you needed for all occasions, formal dining, casual suppers and great BBQs!
