We were lucky, as this was on our floor at the Twelve, and was only about 20 metres from our room which was real handy.
The restaurant was great, easy to book in and get a table via reception. Its a spacious room, you arent crammed in or elbow to elbow with other tables and the design is such that the furniture gives an element of privacy to your table.
We were served by Mathieu, who was great, really went out of his way to look after us and check in on us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves.
To start I had the Pork Belly, and my girlfriend went for the Three Type Lobster, and for our main we had the Lamb and the Hake from the specials. We took the option of having West choose a glass of wine to go with each of our meals (plus one extra at the end) for 20e each which was a great choice. Mathieu came over and walked through each of the wines and why it was a good match to the individual plates.
We had planned to go out in Galway after our meal, but it was so good we really took our time with it, plus a few more drinks and ended up just moving to the downstairs bar for a few hours.
If you are in the area you have to get booked in here, its one of my top restaurant visits of all time. Loved it, cant wait to go back!!
