We stayed at the Twelve recently. On arrival we received a very warm welcome from the receptionist and a glass warm alcohol free punch. The room was a good size and in a quite part of the hotel as requested. Our package included Dinner in the west restaurant which was excellent. The waitress was very helpful and engaged with the customers. There was also a great buzz in the bar in the evening with music on both evenings.

We stayed here on 18/19th March and wish we could have stayed longer. I could not say anything negative about the Twelve. We were greeted warmly and the fruit punch was delicious. We stayed in room 1263 and found the room large, spotless clean (as is the whole hotel) with a nice bathroom. The complimentary strawberries and shortbread from the bakery was a lovely touch and very much enjoyed.
We ate in the bar on the first night and the food was lovely and service efficient. I asked for a sorbet instead of a full dessert and was charged only 2 Euro. The next night we had dinner in the West. The food was delicious and the service friendly and efficient.
Breakfast was also delicious with a wide variety and good service.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would love to return at some stage. It is the little touches that make all the difference!

We stayed here for a night last week and were very impressed with the hotel. We got complimentary juice, chocolate strawberries and shortbread on arrival and the check in process was very easy.

The room was a great size and very comfortable, also it had a few nice touches such as slippers and bath robes.

Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Having endured a very unpleasant experience in the "12" a few years ago, we had decided not to return. However, it suited us for several reasons to go there recently, so we broke our pledge and visited the restaurant for lunch.

On the day we visited, the restaurant was extremely busy, but the Maitre D quickly found us a table. Our order was taken quite quickly and our "beef on
ciabatta" arrived in very good time. The accompanying coffee, while still somewhat weak, was an improvement on out past experience of coffee here.
The beef was very good indeed.

The staff were very efficient and friendly. The atmosphere was good, probably due to the fact of the restaurant being crowded. The price - €20.90 - was in line with other restaurants. Overall it was a reasonably pleasant experience.

Stayed here over the St Patricks weekend arriving on the Friday afternoon for 2 nights. Check in was quick and efficient, Anna was really helpful and friendly!

We were given room 70 on the 2nd floor! 1st impressions were great, the room itself was fab! The downfall was the bathroom and wifi! Bathroom looked a bit grubby in places, inside of the toilet seat was brown (like fake tan looking) and the separate vanity mirror was coming off the hinge when I pulled it out? Also no towel rails to use after your shower to dry the towels.

There was no wifi at all in the room, which was a little annoying I thought it might have been cause we were end of the corridor, so signal might be weak but when I went down to the bar area, there were times I had wifi and other times it just kept dropping! They are the only 2 downfalls!

The staff are what really make the hotel! We ate in The West restaurant on Friday night, Alexandra (I think her name was) served us, food was top notch and her service was flawless!
On Saturday and Sunday morning for breakfast, Dominic looked after us, he is definitely an asset to the hotel!

Great atmosphere in the bar Saturday evening watching the match, place was packed but was still able to get table service!

Overall, great hotel just few little niggly bits that can be easily fixed!

We enjoyed our two night stay at this hotel. It was larger and more commercialised and impersonal than the other places we had stayed in during our trip but it was a good base for our short time in Galway. We agree with previous reviewers that the decor makes it seem very dark but we got used to it. We had a nice room which looked out on the road. As we made use of the very welcome air-conditioning we did not need to open the windows so were not disturbed by any noise. We ate in the downstairs bar on the first night. It was very busy and we were given a table near the kitchen area so it was very warm. As a result we did not enjoy our meal as much as we would have liked. The second night we ate in the upstairs restaurant and we had a pleasant meal. Breakfasts were served in the downstairs area. Staff were helpful and helped us contact a local dentist when treatment was required!

Lovely hotel, very friendly staff. Treated to a lovely punch while checking in. The room was really nice and comfy, spotless, lovely hand written note to welcome us, chocolate dipped strawberries and mouthwatering shortbread from the Twelve's in house bakery. lovely relaxing bath in the mood light bathroom. Very quiet rooms as all rooms are off corridor. The bar was nice and relaxing with a great buzz. Breakfast was fab, served at the table, several choices including Eggs Benedict with crispy bacon... need i say more!!!. The atmosphere is warm and friendly thanks to the staff especially the "young" grey haired man with the Patrick's day tie. Had to leave but will definitely return. A very enjoyable stay, looking forward to a return visit.
