Have been here many times as parents live locally and was very happy yet again. This is the best restaurant I have been to in the area. The staff are friendly and were fine about having our Labradour with us. If you know the weather is going to be good, ask to sit out back under the lovely vine-covered courtyard. Many local French come here, which is a positive review in itself.
All ingredients are sourced locally and displayed on the inside page of the menu, which is varied and changes seasonally. There are a number of choices of set meal, which aim to suit different budgets.
I had Cabecou prepared three ways to start, which was inventive. I had eglefin (fish) with a herb crust for the main, which I had not tried before and would recommend. I had cheese to follow and the Bailey's ice cream which rounded off the meal perfectly.
All this was washed down with a Chablis Premier Cru chosen from the extensive wine list.
I would recommend anyone in the area to try this restaurant. I am sure you will enjoy it. I will certainly be back many times more.
