Description: The Leadburn Inn is friendly, cosy Country pub with "real beer, proper food & comfy beds". We pride ourself on totally fresh, seasonal produce, sourced locally. Our menu is classically British comfort food, where the flavours of the ingredients speak for themselves....! We also have an ever changing specials board. Our cask conditioned ale selection changes regularly as does our bottled beer selection. We are independently owned and very family friendly. So much so there is a purpose built, 3 level, kids soft play area in a separate part of the building. We now have boutique bedrooms available. They are a mix of double, family and quad, Please see our website for details.

Food was good, nice helpings, although it did not have the same amount of choice on the paper menu as on the web,
There was a lot of items left out on the paper menu we got, but would certainly go back.

Called in at this inn on Sat.130713 with friends had a pre dinner drink and then the meal. The cuisine is not outstanding but it is good and filling shall we say family fare.I would recommend the duo of haggis and stornoway black pudding delicious.I then had their pie special of the day which was chicken and mushroom in a cream sauce and here to delicious. The lady who served us was a jovial spanish lady called Maria from Pamplona very nice ,pleasant and chatty, she was assissted by a very capable and pleasant young lady. The restuarant had its share of business with 20 0r so during our visit plus half a dozen locals eating and drinking out in the beer garden. The experience was pleasant but the place lacked ambiance perhaos due to the fact that the owners were relatively newcomers. It is possibly a place to watch as it is reasonably priced and the place has been refurbished.I wish them well for the future

This restaurant has changed hands since late 2012. It had begun to slide before then but we thought we would give it a try this week. Very disappointed in the ordinary fare. There were only 2 other couples there when we arrived approaching 5pm. By the time we left we were the only ones. The service was good and polite but you need more than that. A tell tale sign on the outside was a weedy flower basket which should have been fresh and blooming, and I'm afraid that was our rather sad experience on the day. This place used to be excellent...but that was a while ago!
